This meta sucks ass

I'm tired of seeing Graves, Zed, Talon, Quinn, and any other burst marksman and assassin's, cause my team keeps choosing to throw the game because I don't have any of the in meta champs. when will the next meta start?

All champions are meta. You are welcome to play who you want. :)

All I can suggest is to play counters to the champions you've mentioned...

I know a few good champions that are able to kill or are able to manage their opponent...

Quinn (Top): Nasus, Swain, Illaoi, Nautilus

Graves (Jungle): Ivern, Elise, Shyvana, Diana, Sejuani (Skill matchup really)

Talon (Mid): Taliyah, Karma, Lissandra, Vel'Koz, Veigar

Zed (Mid): LeBlanc, Lissandra, Ziggs, Diana, Elise, Ekko

Jhin (ADC): Miss Fortune, Quinn

Miss Fortune (ADC): Ezreal, Vayne, Twitch

Problem is I literally only own 4 of the listed champs, (Diana, Nasus, Nautilus and Twitch) however 80% of the time I'm choosing before my lane opponent, so I just get counterpicked.

Hahahaha good one. What you meant to say was "A shit Lissandra gets beaten by a good Zed" because a good Lissandra destroys a good Zed. LB is heavily favored for LB. Well Maybe not after LB got nerfed repetitively, not sure on this one anymore. Velkoz beats him. Taliyah beats him

Maybe some of the matchups zed is at a disadvantage? Sure, my point is that it's not worth playing a champ only cause you think it counters zed, because a good zed will fuck you up if you're not comfortable on those picks and maybe even if you are.

Current Galio is super simple. Against Zed, just set up armor/mr/health rune page, take all the def masteries w/grasp, and that battle amp mastery in the offense tree. Max w second. Dodge 50% of his skill shots. And last but not least -

Wait for him to ult first.

If you ult first, you run the risk of him ulting out of your damage, where as if he ults first, he runs the risk of, well, negating his own damn damage.

With the rework, he'll be an even bigger "fuck you" to Zed.

Hi there!

I can help you a bit with your Talon counters list, because A solid Talon will never fail on Vel'koz, Taliyah, or Veigar.

Better picks against Talon include: Annie Malzahar Ryze Xerath Ziggs Syndra Katarina

Because they either have high burst, easy CC, or long range wave clear.

I would just say that any kind of meta sucks. Tank meta, assassin meta, AD meta, AP meta, they all just suck.

If a meta exists, it means there is an imbalance that is actively being ignored. Most cases, you are either forced to follow the meta or actively counter it. Failure to do that tends to lead to losing.

I honestly don't see why people like metas like they do. It always shifts the emphasis from skill to stats. You might have the skills, but if you are not playing in accordance to the meta, you could easily get deleted or pressured out of lane by someone less skilled than you for simply not having the stats required to hold up.

The problem is the meta shift to 'faster' games. The action feels more visceral in general for any non-tank/supports, but the cost is that the games are not meant to last terribly long.

Because so many picks are consistent winners and the nature of the game can end up depending on players more than it ought, there's an uncertain element about just about everything involved in a single game of ranked. That means if a pick can nudge your chances to victory, then chances are that's going to be a big factor in determining who does end up getting picked.

The closest to advice I've heard is stick top and know counters.

As someone who plays a lot of support, I really like the meta right now. Tahm fuck you assassins, braum fuck you burst marksmen, and Leona fuck you divers and your back line.

I mean, in the jungle, I've been taking Evelynn, Fidds, and Singed (Yeah. That's it) and have been doing extremely well (7/1/8 on my last Singed jg). It's all about just playing around them. They going to take a busty ad? Shut them down early. Evelynn is great against Graves, I find. I've never lost vs a Graves with her, I believe. If I have, it's only once or twice. Just gotta learn his rotation and when and where he's going to be. Countergank him, it's an easy kill. Quinn? Take a tank, cc her, not too difficult. Talon? Why don't you try people who can deny his burst. Liss, Veig, etc. Zed? Not even difficult. MF? Tristana works well against her.

From what I've seen, a Tristana-Miss Fortune matchup is really a Skill matchup... XD But I can see her being a good counter to Miss Fortune. :)

I've seen a few Singed junglers. It does seem a lot of fun honest. XD

Singed is just kiting the camps with your q. It's fun and pretty damn good ganks if you can land your w and e combo.

Problem with Eve vs. Graves is that you can countergank him, but he can invade you and, if he's smart, take your raptors, which are your lifeline.

I miss having leesin in my games...All it is now are Graves players who talk shit because they came into lane and auto'd you twice and Q'd for a kill.
