My personal suggestion to changing crit

So crit has prolems ... many of you would say that its being rng based but i dont think thats the core problem.

What i identified as the core problem with crit is that it does its job as a sustained tankbuster stat while also being able to do a 100% rng reliable squish burst.

The squish burst is 100% rng reliable becuase you need 2 or 3 shots and whether those crit is what matters, while during a fight with a tank the pseudo rng mechanic kicks in and your damage is quite sustained.

So reasons for changing crit are as follows. -Creating a more sustained damage pattern without any random spikes aka making it rng free. -Making adc's less able to burst squishy champions (their main role is to kill towers and tanks, they can hurt squishies enough through their ad alone ... i played without crit and i know they are good without it).

Things to consider during the crit change. -the mechanic needs to scale with other offensive items and itself to promote fully offensive builds that fighters cant pull off (commitement of 3 or 4 items just to make it realy effective). -champions who used crit need to still be able to use it witohut any major changes, besides gp who used crit only for reason people want to kill crit. -crit needs to be focused on hurting tanks, not just simple damage increase.

So my suggestion is to remake crit into Warwick's Hungering Strike on every auto. When it comes to interaction with both tanky and squishy enemies i consider this skill a masterpiece. So the way i think this could be implemented is as it follows. -Items which granted crit before , will now grant a scalling for the new mechanic, this way you need to invest much into those items, ad and atack speed to actualy make an impact, which kills fighters building it. -next thing is infinity edge, i think that the best way would be if infinity edge would just increase the power of new mechanic by %, it could also increase the scalling but i think that % power increase would be the best. -the minimum damage you can deal is your ad.

Now for the champions who interact with crit. -Champions like Yasuo and Tryndamere wont have any problems here, Trynda will need a new number on that passive but its quite minor thing for such a big change in game (i dont think his gameplay will even get a minor change, he will amass enough of % dmg to even hurt squishies with it). -Gank plank is up for a rework but the thing is that he relied on this random one shot burst, no change that will make crit healthy can keep critplank aliwe, he exploited that what people want to kill, but he is up for a rework so i think riot should keep that in mind. -And Ashe will just need a new way of counting the new stat into her %dmg increase, this will leave her as an unique adc who does equal damage to both tanks and squishies.

Now what i ask of you is to tell me what you find wrong with this idea, im a human being and i make mistakes, with the power of the community we can make the thing better.

Also point out any typos and errors i made (especialy missing y's and b's becuase i often tap them too softly).

As far as I'm concerned crit is working exactly as intended and most people are fine with it. Also if crit would work like you say it should then you can say goodbye to tanks because there would be no point having them. Just get a bunch of semi-squishy carries like xin zhao, tryndamere, fiora, riven and jump into the enemy team without fear.

And there's only very few adc's that are good without crit and they usually have some other way to deal huge amounts of damage in a short time to make up for it (corki with TF, kalista with hurricane + rend stacks).

i didnt give any numbers and you already asume that adc would just oneshot a tank

next thing you forget that all of our adc's are effective vs squishies even without crit the little pool you gave are those who have skills powerfull enough to compete with crit, or can pump sheen proc's like mad
