Champion Sub-Classes: Defense Champion

This is not a champion concept post but rather a question post

Within every class: Assassin, Fighter, Mage, Support, Tank, and Markman each champion has basic characteristics to them that make them fit that role

and within that role there are sub-classes: within the tanks there are juggernauts within the supports there are CC chainers

these sub classes allow a champion to specialize in a form of there role

My question is where is the Defense sub-class as in these champions that can serioulsy defend a certain area and the allies or objective with in Im not talking about a tank that peels, or a mage with a large amount of offensive area of control

I am talking about a Champion that can seriouly deny an enemy team a certain area or objective, through defense. Whether it be denying enemy access to an area (movement = blockades, terrain), or attacking (reducing AS, AD, providing shields of various effect or sizes) and denying enemies the ability to take objectives (blue/red buff, turrets, dragon, nashor, herald)

do we have any champions that do this sort of thing?

the juggernauts arent tanks. theyre fighters.

tanks need hard engage, hard cc/peel, and high defense. darius, garen, morde and skarner dont have hard engage. and only skarner and maybe darius can peel if theyre standing right next to their carry.

its still not comparable with leona or nautilus.

and the type of champion youre talking about would be heimer, azir, and zyra.

Trundle Yorick can pull it off too. I think what you're looking for is "zoning." And of course, that type of ability could guarantee objectives if played correctly, and that would clearly be op.

yeah i think that Trundle is an example of a close one, if he were more support oriented, every champ that has been listed has been really close, but not defensive enough, all are more on the offensive side. Zoning would be the correct term, but "defensive" not "offensiveness" (and before anyone says offense is the best defense, the opposite is the same)

I am not saying ur wrong: "the juggernauts arent tanks. theyre fighters." but... Riot is, cause on their champion list site, if you check Tank, all the juggernauts some up for some reason, but i agree with you, they are more like heavy fighters

In terms of the champs that you listed, they are all more offensive than defensive sure they can all control large areas of the field, but in the end its controlled for attacking, so they can damage the enemy azir does come close with his R (i knew this), its a great defensive spell, but the others, don't have a single TEAM defensive spell (and azir keeps his E shield to himself)

I guess I am looking for a more support/ tank, or support/ mage type champion
