Playing AD Malzhar now is the worst choice one could make in champ select

Before the update, Malz could have 3 voidlings up constantly if he was spamming spells. They each had a 1.0 AD ratio. The first would have 100% bonus attack speed, and the first and second would have 50% bonus attack damage. That's (1)+(1x1.5)+(1x1.5x2)=5.5 AD. Now the best you can do is 0.4x1.5=0.6 per voidling. Supposing you can get out 5 voidlings, that's a total of 3 AD.

My math may be wrong; I don't recall what the old voidling base damage was (or if they had any). But either way, it (or total -> bonus AD) doesn't leave the new voidlings in a stronger state.

A 50% reduction to AD Malz's damage is not what I'd call "Keeping the AD build as an option", especially when the AD build was marginal to begin with. Can we get some kind of buff to correct this?

They originally had a 1.0 BONUS AD ratio which could increase to 1.5 BONUS AD ratio only if they survived long enough... And you only got one every FOUR spells! If you didn't have a LOT of CDR, Mana, and Bonus AD you really didn't get much out of them!

Now they scale of Total AD (physical damage) and AP (on-hit Magic damage{base amount dependent on rank+10% AP}). They can quickly swarm, AND if your CDR is low enough you could potentially keep spamming them and getting even more with each cast. If my calculations are correct with 45% CDR at max rank his Void Swarm has a downtime of 8.8 seconds and its duration is 12 seconds.

They only deal 50% to MONSTERS like Dragon, Baron, Herald, and other stuff in the jungle.

Why cant people just be happy with building Ap i dont see why you want him to have good AD scaling i feel like thats complaing AP Lucian needs a buff

Why can't people be happy with that OP passive?

It works fine for me. The old AD Malz I constantly had to make sure I had the mana to spam spells (hard early game, easier late but still kinda risky). Now, as long as an enemy champ doesn't one shot them, looking at Yi's flicker strike thing at lvl 1, they can fairly easily start to chew through enemies. Black cleaver is a must as it shreds any armor they do decide to build. Rylais is also nice for the constant slow they will give (and some AP for other spells). Aside from getting camped during the first 10-15 min, in which case Malz tends to die, he tends to fare pretty well.
