Why exactly do we call them "Marksmen" ?
Tanks are called tanks because they soak up or "tank" damage. Assassins are called assassins because they perform the act of assassinations across the map. Mages are called mages because they focus on casting spells to do damage. The word marksmen is often defined as "a person skilled in shooting" "a sharpshooter using accuracy or precision"
I refuse to call them "marksmen" , theres no precise or accurate shooting, the person playing one is not a skilled sharpshooter at all. I will instead follow the same nomenclature pattern as mages assassins and tanks and I will call them exactly what they are ... right clickers.
"Hey Bob, what class do you main?" "Oh I main right clickers, how about you?" ^ Would be an example conversation with the new nomenclature.
Ironically I feel right when Riot decided to make it their selling point to rename the class to "marksmen" is also exactly when league started declining (I believe it happened at some point in season 6?). Screw that bullshit propaganda misleading name. Right clickers is the role that goes bot lane in the current meta.
