Say what you want, but Pyke is actually weak AF and his win ratio will never get any better.

I'm sick of people giving the excuse of "give it time before people figure him out" or "has a high learning curve", yea sure he does, but the fact that a glass-cannon support assassin with no peel, and 2-3 skill-shots in his kit with bad scaling makes him weak compared to a lot of champs who can do better, be tankier and still deal more damage in shorter amount of time.

His {W} feels terrible to use specially around ganks, I mean, you already gave the enemy a shark animation warning, so why is he easily detected from a long range?

and his {R} , you call it a blink, but never mentioned it has a delay, and it doesnt allow him to blink to the X mark unless it hits an enemy champion. It would've been nice to allow him to use it as an escape ability after it resets , or blinks him whenever he hits anything else as well besides champions.

you can keep waiting for people to improve with him, but he'll never get above 45-46% w.r , atm he's sitting at 39% in the jungle, and 44% w.r as a support.

new champs take a while for people to learn them.. and they also have an absurdly high play-rate consisting of mostly players who have never played them.

therefore... if a champ has a very high pickrate and about 80% of the people picking said champ have never played it.

if said champ actually HAD a 50% winrate.. it would mean a bunch of idiots who have no idea how to play the champ can stand up even against people on their mains.

which would mean such a champ would be absurdly broken.

once playrate goes down, and once people LEARN how to play him.. his winrate will rise.. he isn't "bad" at all

I disagree.

According to Lolaytics (for support, plat+, as well as dia+) Pyke has gained 1-3% winrate every day, starting at around 37% and now already at 45%. His playrate is also high, one of the highest for supports. Other websites show very similar winrates.

I don't know why you think his winrate should be at 48%+ when he hasn't even been out for a week on live servers. With that kind of playrate and low time to master the champion, he would probably be busted at 48%+.

Give him time, you cannot jump to conclusions that quickly. If he is weak, he'll get help when reasonable to do so.

_Side note: I don't understand why people still think new champion should have normal winrates when they are first realised, (unless it's the first release they are witnessing.) _

Remember how people said on release Yasuo was weak. And the same with Zoe?

So in his intended role you think his Win Rate won't climb more than 3%? That players won't get any better with him than they are with 5 days under their belts?

He's in a good spot for a new champion. Impatience leads to new champions becoming OP champions 2 - 4 weeks after launch.

Funny..... I'm 92.6% with him in 27 games.

And I didn't PBE him. He's that easy to pick up.

Clearly, you just haven't gotten used to him yet yourself.

i mean he is cool design overall, but assassins cant be supports, every pyke i seen just gets fed goes in an gets exploded before doing anything meaningful, like you cant have a guy with barely any health engaging fights for you. but his kit and cc is pretty cool and things he can do is good, when not exploded instantly lol. i feel he needs a new passive not being able to build any health makes him squishy an useless, but at sametime tank pyke would be fucking broken. like a thresh with stealth and ult that executes an gives carrys bonus gold.

His winrate is bad too though because people dont pick him as a counter which is what he seems like he is supposed to be. Like what exactly is he supposed to do vs a Cait Raka, or Varus Janna Lane?

Madsin256/5/2018, 4:32:04 AM1 votes

I have witnessed a pyke pop off and honestly it made a fed rengar look pretty weak.

I would rather not have him get buffs.

Edit- Just FYI all the good pykes I have seen were in solo lanes.

LOL, the champion is in a fine spot. People instantly first pick him into any role and match up not caring at all where they play him and against who they are playing against and his builds are all over the place. He is like most assassins, they are not good in a good number of match-ups.

Once people start playing him better and stop 100% pick rating him, his win rate should climb back up. It will probably end at around a healthy 49 - 50%

I actively duo with a buddy of mine who's literally been maining Pyke since release. He has close to 40+ games with him, while sitting at a good 70% win rate. Pyke is not "bad" at all, and I don't understand where players like OP are getting this idea from.

If you're bad with him, then say that. Don't try and pretend like just because YOU can't play him, that the champ is automatically broken. This game does not revolve around your ability to play/comprehend it or its assets.

Your ignorance is showing.

Wow m8, you were so sure about it, your words make me laugh when I am currently looking at his 49.47% winrate :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD You are silly, impatient, and so ingorant... [sg-miss-fortune]
