The problem with normal games when higher ELO

Pommel Knight··1 votes·492 views

I don't play normals much anymore, perhaps once or twice a week to get first win.

What I noticed is that I never get matched up with people of my division (high gold), rather I get lvl 20+, unranked, bronze and silver. That is both bad experience for myself and enemy team. If I get fed I can carry the game easily against them, they lack the mechanical knowhow I have and the experience. It can also be irritable when they feed 10 kills in 10 min or less.

So try to fix it so you get matched up with people from your division and one lower.

It's because normal MMR and Ranked MMR and tracked separately

Quote: In League of Legends, there are seperate Elo scores for each gamemode's matchmaking. This means that your ranked Elo is seperate to your standard (normal game) Elo.

When going into Matchmaking, the matchmaking system uses the Elo that corresponds to the gamemode you're queuing for. Because Ranked games and standard games are considered two different gamemodes, they have two different scores.

I admit that it is wierd, but it makes some sense as some people act completly different in normals to rankeds (Tryhard in ranked, Play4Fun in normals).

It's obvious that your Normal MMR is significantly lower than you ranked MMR.
