Just played the new Aatrox, being an Aatrox main.

No, this isn't the account I play Aatrox on. But, why nerf a champion that's already in the shitter, and on top of that, nerf the item that gave him everything he needed, being BORK? Doesn't make a bit of sense to me, like, yes, his passive is A LOT better than what it used to be, but, his W is fucking garbage now, i'm forced to pretty much build tank on a lifestealing fighter, which, doesn't make a bit of sense either, then on top of that, make his e do physical damage, so you don't do shit to tanks that you lane against for you have no magic damage poke anymore. Congrats RIOT, this might be the first "rework", if it even deserves that title, that made the champion legitimately worse than he actually was beforehand, which was shit to begin with.

Neither bork nor aatrox got nerfed. They were changed. Riot knows aatrox is weak, possibly weaker than before. But he's in a state that they think they can change numbers around to bring him up to a somewhat balanced state to bide time until his full VGU, which wasn't the case before his mini rework.

HA! Making a hero weaker is nerfing. Stop getting fooled by riots hipster talk about different "direction" beeing promising and shit. They just randomly changed his spells so he scales a little bit with HP while completely nerfing his passive and W hard.

Having his passive deactivated the whole time and nerfing heal and dmg of W is a nerf.

Aatrox was in such a terrible state that he was physically impossible to balance. The rework was essential to making him actually fixable. His W's heal is also just fine, if you actually build tank like you're supposed to.

He really wasn't, Riot just hates drain tanks if they arent paying money for the healing

This isnt an Azir case where a 45% solo queue win rate means a 60% competitive win rate, he was pretty close to being fine on the previous iteration

No, it's a stupid excuse of riot. Snowballing with him was never op as shit with him and you can actually buff certain builds without buffing others. In fact this would be much better instead of what riot did. Making his costs for example fixed instead of scaling with hp for example. I played sooooooooooooo many matches already and never seen an Aatrox go wild and carrying the shit of their team (except myself :D). In times where everyone just looks with what they can lame their elo up with scrubby shit like zac, irelia, graves ofc Aatrox is the true problem here.

But keep beliving that nonsence of riot who totally misjudged their own rework where they basically just changed numbers to begin with. You can clearly see on paper that his rework is much worse than he was before. You don't have to be a genius to see that. They didn't add something to his passive... they just removed a lot. Also his W dmg 100! dmg and 25% scaling less.

Tank Aatrox is also worse than before because he has even less dmg. I played bruiser Aatrox many many times and it was always frustrating because it didnt work out. He just has not enough dmg and gets kited too easy. You got to make the time you are in your enemys face count. Making kiting even more ffective and giving him less dmg is sure the thing this hero needed lol.

Look at Irelia and Shyvanna. This are bruiser who just needs one dmg item and can go fulltank and still burst squishies and shred tanks. Seriously there was no need to nerf his offensive potential and just tanking doesn't win you games.

Offensive builds worked and still works best and fit him much better anyway. He is a bloody god of war and not some warden of peace.

How is his passive a lot better? It's about the same like before just that it's completely deactivated unless you have your bloodpool is full. GA and AS is about the same like before and this little bit bonus ad (which doesnt even scale with bonus ad) doesn't even compensate the W dmg nerf.

Passive is too windowed and needs work Meddler recognizes he is weak but they are not doing anything about his passive looking at the hot fixes. Maybe they may in 7.6.
