I am REALLY sick of Riot not punishing people

D5 ranked -- Almost every single game there is someone who needs at least a 2 week, if not a permanent ban. There's one in maybe TWENTY games that aren't like this. At least 1/3 of the time people are telling each other to kill themselves in all chat, people feed on purpose or just troll if they feel like it, because they know Riot isn't doing anything. Hell I just had someone get Support, but he stole our top laner's role. And I checked his match history, and he does this EVERY SINGLE GAME. He has never, in over 350 games, not got his champion. Not ONE game. And my past few games have had other people who just feed on purpose because why not? Who cares, Riot isn't going to do anything. If anything, Riot is more likely to ban someone for saying something about them.

Honestly it wouldn't be as big of a deal if it were like.. every other game, or every third game. But it's 19/20 games at LEAST, and something needs to be done about it. People shouldn't be able to feed intentionally and do whatever they want without fear of punishment.

I swear if Riot just had a few guys spectate these games they could ban dozens of people a day if not more. It's extremely obvious that these people will never reform. And reports do NOTHING, so they are allowed to ruin game after game after game for months on end, ruining the fun and ranked experience for hundreds of players. It's quite sad actually. I've even taken video footage and sent in support tickets, they say they will forward it to whatever team. Months later, the videos have ZERO views. Nothing is being done at all. Hell I haven't seen a single person in MONTHS that's been chat restricted, but that is the absolute least of the problems since you can just mute toxic players.. there's nothing you can do but lose LP when you get a troll in Ranked. But it just goes to show that reports clearly do nothing.

So how about starting with yourself? What punishment do you desire?

You know what might work? Knocking problem players down a rank. If you don't play ranked, I'm not sure there's much that could be done, but I think the problems in ranked are more pronounced because those games typically mean something to the people playing them.

That might get peoples attention...

Part of the problem is the overwhelming logic among the community that Riot does nothing so reporting is useless. One report among the hundreds they probably get regularly will not be effective unless it's a dire circumstance.

I have received notifications at least three times in the past several months that someone I've reported has been punished, and I know for a fact (unless these people lied to me) that other people also reported that player. It's likely that the reported player was also reported in other games, which increases the chances not only of Riot noticing but Riot understanding that this incidence is not isolated but rather repeated.

If less people lived by the idea that Riot will do something and, therefore, reported reportable offenses, then it would become more likely that Riot would do something about it.

I just started playing ranked a few days ago. I've played about 15 ranked games so far and I would estimate at least 75% of my games contained a toxic player - either on my team or the opponent team. I've had someone threatened to feed because the champion they wanted to play was banned. I've had a support get mad because they picked fill as their secondary and got that role and then proceeded to choose a toplane champion in the support role anyways (and feed). I've had a game where we had a Twitch jungler criticize our toplaner, Gnar, for "feeding" 15 minutes into the game (Gnar was 0/0/0 at the time) and criticize our botlane for feeding when he'd continuously put himself in bad situations where he was 1 v 2 or 1 v3 and he himself was feeding the opponent carries. I've had numerous games where opponents on the enemy team were flaming eachother in all-chat.

... And I'm only in Silver 4. I want to climb so bad but it's very discouraging when it feels as though a win or loss is determined by which team has the least unsportsmanlike individuals on their team.

D5 is dumpster where 1/2 people dont belong to, and dynamic shit made it even worse.
