Why does Nasus get nerfed for his sustain yet the new Keystone is allowed to exist?

Champions like Tryndamere and Yasuo are even more stupid to lane against since they get infinite free sustain with the new keystone since they get massive amounts of crit from their passives.

The mastery in question is obviously Warlord's Bloodlust. Critical strikes heal for 15% of the damage dealt and grant you 20% attack speed for 4 seconds (2 second cooldown).

First of all, almost every single other keystone requires the target to be a champion yet this one allows you infinite free sustain from minions which is a pain to deal with in lane (and monsters for jungling infinite sustain), especially when dealing with champions like Trynd and Yasuo, who are already oppressive in lane. And then on top of that it gives free attack speed which lasts longer than the cooldown.

Also this mastery scales incredibly well into the late game again ESPECIALLY on trynd and yasuo but also on ADCs so its not like its just an early game lane sustain thing, it just scales even harder late making them incredibly difficult to kill and increasing their DPS by a lot.

It's bad enough with the AP item nerfs (especially to Zhonya, which could be used to counter these AD champs) and the increased crit from items but they have to add this now? Like really. Way over the top. This mastery is WAY too strong.

I mean, trynd already pretty much had infiite sustain early, and yasuo generally got a dorans blade or 2 which was enough sustain for him for most of the game as well, I don't think this will change things as much as you are imagining that it will.

It will make Trynd a better jungler, but in lane I don't see it being a big problem.

The 2 second CD makes it pretty underwhelming in the late game, so I wouldn't worry about it at that point. Attack Speed makes the 15% lifesteal from the mastery become increasingly inefficient, as more attacks mean that less of them get the bonus. You're much better off building any lifesteal item than relying on the mastery.

Also, mid is when it's arguably the strongest since attack speeds are lower, but then so are crit chances. Really, only Tryn and Yas can make full use of it, though more so at different points in the game. The mastery is fine, but the two aforementioned outliers might present an issue.

Its not just he LS, its the 4s 20% increase in Attack speed that you can consistently have up.

That's actually a good point and I kind of forget about that particular effect on the mastery. Still, I find it amusing that one effect makes the other one less efficient

Yea I played Yasuo top on the PBE lol.

The crit mastery on top of 100% crit with just item 3087 item 1018 made me feel even dirtier playing him than I already do. Absolutely disgusting and I can tell you for a fact that it NEEDS to be changed or else a lot of people are going to quit League.

Maybe it's a good time to finally remove his double crit and make his kit a little easier to balance.

I'm gunna assume its been said before, but the changes to ADCs are a small part of a larger rework. The game is going to function terribly due to other roles becoming outdated and having their only dynamics brutally eviscerated by newer, stronger, more overloaded champions. Its at the stage where they are going to have to bring everyone up to match the current set of reworks, and as a result, huge masses of champions are going to be utterly useless until their queue time is up. Its basically going to feel like the assassin meta felt to immobile, peel reliant mains; utterly toxic. Give it time, a break from the game is what I'm doing till this shitstorm blows over.

irony of it all is that I am findiny my salvation from the mess league currently is with a game Ghortcrawler helped balance over 10 year ago.

But then again there have been a recent revival of Age of Kings, 2 new expansions and a fair amount of rebalancing in the past 2 years since it was added to steam so not sure how much of the balance is really to be held to ghostcrawlers anymore.

Your forgetting Ashe . This keystone is gunna be broke as hell on her, pretty much 15% LS at lvl 1.

Her interaction with this got changed, I don't think it works with her passive.

But still on Yasuo/Trynd its really broken because they can trade as much as they want (which they WANT to anyway, with Trynd's Q and Yasuo's passive and dash to get away) and then just heal up. It's absurd.

so if it doesn't work with her passive does that mean it does not work with her period? thats stupid as shit. Here have a mastery Oh X champion cant ever use it.

She does get to crit again (probably because of exactly this mastery) but they don't actually do any extra damage, just extra slow%.

It's actually...kind of shit on her.

Romans VI XXIII2 votes

thats BS

No,her passive no longer counts as a crit.

P - Frost Shot Base slow reduced 5/11/17/23/29/35% >>> 5/9/13/17/21/25% Dealing bonus damage via Frost Shot no longer counts as a Critical Strike (bonus damage unchanged) Ashe’s Critical Strikes (which once again happen only by chance per all other characters) deal only 1.0 Total AD (as opposed to 2.0 standard), but they apply Frost Shot’s slow at double effectiveness (10/18/26/34/42/50%), decaying to the base amount over the duration of the slow.

So if i get this right: She still does exactly the same damage she is doing now, but now also gets a extra slow when she "really" crits? That's kind of strong especially if you think about that 50% slow every 2-3 Attacks...

Illâoi Evê Siôn1 votes

Ashe can now crit again. Her passive is just an auto-attack enhancer. Her crits no longer deal bonus damage, but apply a strong slow.

Hint: Pretty much everyone is going to rush 20% crit for the sustain. It won't just be the champions you normally see buy crit.

The mastery has a cd so someone with 20% crit will have nearly as much sustain as champions like yasuo/tryn who have higher crit chance.

RisenDarkKnight1 votes

Wow you're right. They could fix this simply by making it only apply to attacks against champions. Then it would still be strong but at least fair to the other keystones.

...Would Anivia become meta?

yasuo and trynd are AT least beatable lategame. Leave susan alone for longer than 1 minute and you lost the game. Annoying, badly designed ball of stats. Nothing more is Nasus.

Slamurai Jack1 votes

I mean, Yasuo isn't going to get any sustain at all before the first back unless he runs crit runes, which he has no reason to do anymore.

Also because neither of those champions get to rush tank items while having an infinitely scaling Q. Sustain is always worth more on tanky champions since each point of health is worth more for them. There's a reason Nasus becomes an immovable brick the moment he gets item 3110 or item 3065.
