Why is soraka getting nerfed?

Teammates who can't position or dodge need their heals. I don't see why Soraka should be nerfed when teammates who take damage are the problem. Obviously, teammates should be buffed instead and that'll make soraka's healing numbers go down.

Seriously though, why is soraka less able to spam heals now? I thought that her health costs were supposed to be the biggest constraint for her astral blessing. Why fewer heals instead of weaker heals for less health cost? Soraka currently falls off in the late game and if anything, these changes will make her a little worse for the team. Wouldn't it be better to nerf her in a way that takes her early game down a notch but doesn't hurt her late?

Immortals failed to go to worlds so no need to keep soraka strong

nah fk that heal bot sitting at the back of the lane and nullifying any trade. And in case you all in you die to the jungle chilling in the bush. Not to mention her E is probably one of the strongest abilites in the game any nerf on that autistic champ is good. i Even prefer Sona over her cause at least sona has to move her booty up to do trades and heal AND to land her ult which means she can be focused down soraka just builds tank and sits next to the adc nullifying everything and making it a drain tank.

yea she needs a nerf. i played her last night and i never play soraka vs a heavy ap burst comp

i got focused hard in every fight and was able to get poked due to the range of their champs

and after all that i still went 0-6-25 and my team won game. just a lil tweak not to make her so safe with out having risk.

I don't see how this tweak makes her less safe. IMO it'll give her slightly more opportunity to move back since her W will be on a longer CD.

it makes a less safe of a pick at support. if you have longer cd on your heal then you can spam it as much giving the enemy more of a chance to create a kill/pressure
