Garen Rework Ideas
Honestly, I could say something that has become overly redundant about why Garen is so bad/useless/etc. Honestly, it’s all been said before so many times, there’s no justification necessary for calling for a rework.
That said, let’s get into it.
Garen uses Stamina as his resource for his abilities. Maximum Stamina is based on Maximum Health, and Stamina Regen per 5 is based on Health Regen per 5 (not increased by other sources of healing).
Innate: Discipline- When Garen enters combat with enemy champions, he gains stacks of Discipline up to 10 for each second of fighting, decaying one per half second when leaving combat for more than 5 seconds. For each stack, Garen gains bonus Armor, Magic Resist, and Attack Damage. At 10 stacks, he also gains Slow Resistance and Tenacity.
Q: Prudence- Garen winds up, then sweeps his greatsword up, dealing damage in a line in front of him. If only champions are hit, he also silences them.
W: Fortitude- Toggle Off Garen’s attacks against enemy champions refill his Stamina. Toggle On: Garen slows himself, consuming stamina over time to heal himself.
E: Temperance- Garen’s next basic attack sweeps an area around him, dealing damage to enemy units and reducing their armor. In addition, his target is slowed for a short time.
R: Justice- Passive: A percentage of Garen’s basic attacks deal true damage. Active- Garen’s attacks and abilities deal a percentage of the target’s missing health while Justice is active.
