"This champion sucks!" Seriously guys?
I've learned there's a bit of a backlash whenever Riot releases a new champion that's not a "pick up the first game and get a pentakill" type champion. If you can't carry the game with them, or you need even an inkling of practice with them, people seem to say that "This champion is terrible"
Much like with Ivern, some people just don't understand how he works. So, they instead of practicing him, say that he's a 'bad champion' and that he sucks and how he needs buffs.
So as they're losing their games, or playing games with someone who's not doing well with him, instead of saying, "Wow this champion needs some practice to get good with." They'll just go, "Man I can't win with this guy, he sucks!"
People just aren't happy with new champions. If they are amazingly easy to win with, people say they're OP and need nerfs. If they're NOT amazingly easy to win with and actually require skill to use, people say they suck and need buffs.
People can you please do us a favor and let TIME PASS? Seriously. Let people learn new champions and then after some time passes by, you can figure out if they're good or bad.
This isn't even about Ivern, it's about people giving the new champions a chance to figure out if they're OP or actually bad.
Taliyah: Her knockup is too hard to use! Can you make it easier to activate so I don't have to actually spend time in practicing how to use it?
Azir: This champion is too.... buggy... actually yeah Azir was buggy af... >.>;;; Uh...skip that..
Poppy: Omg this champion is so terrible. I keep trying to build her full damage like old poppy and she's terrible. This champion is so ba- Oh wait, you mean I just build her full tank instead? Oh wow, Poppy is OP.
Stop trying to make the harder things easier and stop trying to make the things that are actually easier... harder.
Give the new champion some time to fit into the meta. If they end up BREAKING the meta in half, absolutely becoming pick or ban within the span of like two weeks, then yeah something may need to be changed. On the other hand, if it's been like a month and they've had absolutely 0 effect on the meta, due to lack of stats or something that's needed for their kit to be better.. then yeah they probably need a buff.
What do you guys think? Do you think that a week is too short? Do you think people need to wait to see how the meta shifts around new champions? Or should we pounce on that new champion as quickly as possible?
Lemme know what you think.
with just more range, probably the strongest lategame champion in league.
Poppy mid is op
so why bother risking a game with the green father when you can pick a champion that will work into most team comps and provide just as much utility if not more to boot?
