Anyone else feel that Cassiopeia is a bit weak?

This is coming from a Cassiopeia main who has been playing her since season 3. She's sitting at a 45% winrate and I see no reason to pick her over other mages anymore.

Her niche isn't that impressive when you consider her glaring weaknesses.

Cassiopeia item 3070 That feeling when you do better on every other champion that isn't your main..

No reason? She's one of the highest AP DPS sources out there with outplay potential from her healing and movement speed from her Q. She's basically AP Vayne but less squishy since she builds ROA and Liandrys/Rylai's

No one builds RoA on Cass, Tear & Morello is her corebuild when it comes to her baseneeds.

Yep, i ran that built alot in season 6 and it was great. This is season 7. It doesn't really work that well anymore, mostly because the meta got alot more damage focused and rylais got nerfed hard.

Shit I still build Ryalis on her, that slow is amazing for her.

Wish i did better on other champs :P. Well, she got a really cool QoL buff last patch. Ult forward + flash backward wasn't really possible before, from what i know. Though, i also thought the rylais nerf would open her up for some goodies. Guess i was wrong :/.

That wasn't a buff, it was a huge nerf. The reverse flash ult combo was impossible to predict for opponents and was considered the definitive way of hitting her stun. Now that she lost that mechanic, she cannot hit her extremely unreliable ultimate anymore without her target being stupid enough to look into her direction for more than half a second - that's how long it takes for the ability to go off.

Heck, it even has a sound which warns the enemy of the immediate effect - any veteran can counter it that way which makes her ultimate pretty much impossible to use in a regular fight without ccing the opponent beforehand.

One of the last cassiopeas I found was a plat 3 scripting player (the only one I've found that I'd swear 100% he was scripting). And she looked like pretty strong to me, tbh.

I feel like Cass has a low winrate cause she's a harder champion to play. She still gets pick in the upper levels of play were people can use her to her potential.

I feel she's better agasn't tankier metas though.

She's a common pick in pro games and she still feels really strong in solo queue.

Having a below-average winrate is expected as she is a difficult champion to play. She's high-input and requires you to constantly land skillshots to contribute dps.

I mained her in Season 5 (I think), before the mage update. She was still fun to play. I don't like her new version. The new Miasma, while works well in a team fight, doesn't mesh/synchronize with her kit as well as it used to. No vision in bushes, and it the shape is still awkward... can't be used on champs that dash to you. I liked her former mechanics- she just needed tweaking on her ap ratios and a new passive- she didn't need to be dramatically changed.

I also used to build RoA on her, but I don't anymore. She just needs too many items. Rylais is a must, and then I must consider whether to build Tear of Goddess or something else.
