How do you feel about the new League of legends Gameplay?

I actually thought about this about 2 weeks ago when I started playing less league and more other games. It's not that I don't like league or anything, just that when the new runes came out like everyone I was testing testing testing. To see what worked for me. Over the course of testing I noticed something... League wasn't the same anymore. Games ended faster, but I also stopped caring about the results. I used to live and breathe trying to get better, but with matches ending so much quicker for me atleast its like league went from a competitve game to a more casual one over night.
I'm not trying to down talk the new runes system, its just league origionally was an hour long game. Now? 20min. Which if you screw up, miss cs ect.. things became that much worse for you as you have less time to come back. The game used to be 5v5 based on ind. skill levels with teamplay, Now its alot less based of single player skill and all about teamfights. Hence why I call it the new league of legends. It's still a great game for me, don't get me wrong, but it's lost something it had for me in the past. I don't know how to explain it. It used tobe the game I play not just a game I play. I understand not everyone can sit around and play for an hour, it used to stress me out when I'd be mid game back in season 4 and people would come try and talk or ask me todo stuff around the house. League was that important to me that I'd get mad at them for not understanding I'll be letting down my team, that its not ok to afk. To people at my place it was just a game. Now day's I don't really play ranked anymore, nor take it seriously as I used to simply because its just a game.
I remeber spending 4 to 5 hours before every match in season 4, going over every single champion stat I was gonna play, and breaking out a calculator and combing threw the item wiki, Looking for every single syngery I could find. Back then there wasn't alot of youtube, champion gg, pro builds where players could just cookie cutter their builds. I devoted atleast 4 hours a day to the actual stats of this game learning all I could. I won most of my games back then not focusing on objectives, or kills, or even cs. But on exactly counter building my enemys builds. From the few Items they would buy early I'd know exactly what they were trying to make their champion do, and I'd make sure I could stop it while building mine for pure late game. I had the most success with champs like skarner, and even garen back then. As when late game hit by proper building and staying even in level and gold. I litterly could not be 1 2 or even 4 shot. I'd build that way on purpose, Not to deal damage but to lead my teams charge and single out 1 or 2 enemys so we'd get the picks and win. had an 18 game winning streak with skarner doing that lol. That ult drag, plus a stun, really helped. Sadly he lost alot in the rework. His true fighting power in the jungle now because of the crystal pillars. Which hurt him overall. He was never meta in lane, but he could go in lane. Now... I'd say its a straight up troll todo. Many still don't know his e proc's the pillar effect so its possible to take just weak, as your engages and trading is now limited to your E's cd in lane. Thing was back then, there wasn't just 1 build for a champ. There was 5 or so. Ik you call bs but really, there were 5 builds on most champs that could be used, with 3 of them being better than the rest. That gave the game mystery. Now, ok I'm against a blah blah, he's building this, don't even need to look at his keystone or runes. Why? because 90% champs only have 1 build because of item changes/nerfs along with champion reworks. Old WW for example could do a Team wide AS Buff build as his old W i believe gave AD and AS to near by teammates. Sure he was about the worse jug, but No one could take turrets like he could after a teamfight. If the enemy lost their turret and prob the one behind it was gone before respawn.
Now days, hes not really good at taking turrets. He's alot better at taking neutral monsters, and getting kills and moving fast instead of slow. His kit got a complete 180 rework. But over all more powerful. Like every champion. mostly not shaco of course he got a straight up nerf. So did kindred and azir overall. Yasou stayed the same dashing idiot as ever, dispite the complaints about him. I agree like most his kit does to much really. The only reason more players don't bitch about him, is because the level of skill you actually need to play him. Notice they don't play him in the Lcs for a reason. He takes to much skill for even those guys tobe comfortable with him. Don't hate Yasou mains you know what I'm saying. 1 miss judged or clicked dash and you die. And lets face it the minion ai does get buggy as hell some times.
Sure, I'm low ello, lower than I was in season 4 silver 2. Strange i was highest when I started playing now bronze 5 believe it or not. So yeah there are some players in the bottom of bronze who actually have game knowledge/wisdom from years past. Dispite what everyone says about bronze, there actually are some players down here who get 70 cs by 10 min and build proper builds with items and masterys. Honestly the whole how bad bronze players are is mostly hype, sure there are some bad ones. but I find it hard to tell between a bronze 5 and silver 1 honestly on average.
But to get back on subject, I just thought I'd ask the community what they thought of the direction league has taken and become over the years. Is it still the game you play or just another game?
