Why does Malphite have a 33.6% ban rate at lolking???

He's one of the most winningest champions in plat +. But in lower elos he's one of the arms of Bronzodia. In low elo players don't know how to win games other than by team fighting and Malphite wins team fights, so.

He's OP.

AD is really popular right now, and so Malphite, a champion who builds armor very effectively.

Additionally, his ult is a one way ticket to a win when used right.

Malphite is a huge fuck you to the current AD heavy meta.

Kind of like when Amumu use to be banned when teamfight metas were around.

Despite popular belief, tanks are op right now

Team death match is the best way to win a game. Malphite helps with it.

Champs like and have been really strong picks ever since they nerfed Last Whisper. (and botrk)

because he's a hard carry in higher elo's where people know how to fully abuse his kit, as well as low elo's where his easy kit can easily carry..

He's not really OP but he's reliable and makes teamfighting difficult.

malphite is absolutely murderous at higher elos because your carries basically have to position three screens away otherwise they'll get popped by his ult and his team's followup, unless you're confident enough to flash it.

It's because all he needs is 1 good ult to fuck over your entire team, and he's reaaaaally tanky and kinda obnoxious to lane against.

I'm far more annoyed by Rammus and Mundo than Malphite. Malphite seems a little overpowered but not to the extent of those other champs I just mentioned. Plus he isn't half as cancerous...
