Why is CoTC red?

In the preseason spotlight, I noticed that the shield from this mastery was red (looked almost like Sion's shield) and was wondering why this was the case.

I don't really know anything about the colorblind spectrum, so I'm not sure if red was a better choice over a green or light blue, etc.

I mean, if the first thing you think of is Sion's shield, then they probably did something right. :D In all seriousness though, I'm not really sure why they went that route. Would have to ask the CB community if they can see Sion's shield alright.
