Can We Talk About How Unfun AP Malphite Is?

I'd argue this is probably the most annoying, unfun build in the entire game, especially if you're playing a squishy. His ult is the primary reason why.

His ultimate has a fairly low cooldown to begin with, and provides an AOE knockup that can deal an entire health bar worth of damage. And in addition to the extra cooldown reduction items like item 3285 give, this means he has enough CDR to use his ult in almost every teamfight going into the mid-late game. If you're playing a squishy you have to play ridiculously safe around him, and you'll likely die in teamfights anyways because he'll target you with his ult.

I just find the build to be all around obnoxious and a pain to play against. Anyone else feel the same?

if only there was something in game to reduce the damage you take from his ult???

It is pretty obnoxious, and its not because of his R. The thing I find annoying is dealing with his poke as any non-sustain champ. He will at some point be able to Q you enough times that you will be forced to back. No amount of pots and biscuits will help you against that. Once MR itemization gets better (and hopefully regen gets a look at, and specters gets a makeover), then he shouldnt become much of a problem.
