weird excuse, when comparing him to Lux. who hasn't seen LCS play either.

Poke isn't in the meta anymore. (thanks to tanky teams) His long range waveclear is less reliable thanks to the new Baron buff. Not as good as spell spaming thanks to the mana nerfs back in the preseason.

Just Over all, Ziggs isn't as strong of a team fighter as these other mages who are dominant in the LCS. Suggesting that Teamfight may be the meta.

Azir!

Azir is a better siege champion than Ziggs especially as the game progresses into late game. Azir has everything to survive in lane, and scale incredibly well. While Zigg has to use W and hide under turret against many champs like Ahri, but a Azir can actually be a bully in lane.

Lets not forget once you siege enemy towers, you can create your own in the back to prevent flanks.

Lol who cares there is no meta either you will win as him or lose plain and simple there is nothing wrong with ziggs. When you get fed ish you will win or wont win "meta " has nothing to do with the fact of you will win or lose

lux mana issues were not solved and received 0 dmg buff lux "buffs" are placebo and nothing has actually changed just peoples perception of her

Meh, I guess he does. But Lux still has a double root and a more reliable ult snipe. The best pro about Ziggs compared to is his satchel, letting him hop over walls or push enemies over them.
