I just fought a full-ad garen. His E did over 1200 damage per second.

It actually can't come close to that much damage. His E scales at level 5 only 38% of his total ad. meaning every 100 ad is 38 added damage. So that's at level 5, 30 + (38% total ad) with 10 spins at 3 seconds.

Now lets say he has 300 ad. That's 114 added on to his E. So it will now do 144 damage per spin, so ten spins would mean 1,440 damage TOTAL. Now divide that by 3 and that is the dps. In case you're bad at math, the dps would be 480.

It does do 10k damage because I literally just fought him.

go into customs or practice mode. build garen full AD/full crit/full lethality. read the tooltip on his damage

Also, to your other point with mf and Lucian, they are DIRECTIONAL SKILLS THAT CAN NOT CHANGE DIRECTIONS. They are gaurunteed to not hit at least 40% of their attacks as people just easily avoid them. They do not do nearly as much.

MF can do over 5000 damage on her ult late game. and neither of them are immobile melee champions so y'know maybe that's why garen's is a circle.

Caitlyn's headshot does not do over 2k damage no matter if it crits or not. End of discussion.

Lets assume for the sake of simplicity that Garen's E is dealing true damage (since that will negate any Armor Pen he builds as well as his shred).

His E deals 50.66% AD per spin to you if you're alone, having a maximum of 10 spins. If you assume he went completely crazy on Crit Damage Runes and got Infinity Edge as well he'd be doing 100% AD per spin.

To deal 10k damage, he'd need to do 1k per spin, which means he'd need 1000 AD (again, assuming True Damage). I -tee you he didn't have 1000 AD.

If he built then he'd have 440 AD. Assuming he's doing True Damage, has full Crit Damage runes, and is criting on every spin (unlikely, if not impossible), he's dealing 4400 Damage over the entire duration.

That's the most it could be doing, and it's not going to be happening because Garen is going to need Boots and probably want a Ghost Blade to catch you, plus he's not going to crit and be doing true damage on every spin.

Headshot deals 50% (+ 0.5 × total critical strike damage modifier × critical strike chance) AD bonus physical damage. If we apply our same math for Garen (440 AD Build, full crit damage runes, 100% crit chance, true damage) then we start out with 440 AD + (0.5 + 0.5*3*1.0) * 440 = 1320 base which crits for 3x damage = 3,960

If Garen is doing 4k damage per E, Caitlyn is doing 4k damage per Headshot.
