Thoughts on Viktor after a comp stomp
TLDR: I don't like it.
Details: His laser feels really bad now. I mean exceptionally bad. It is not fun. Here are the issues:
- The damage on the single hit is now lower than it used to be. By 20% ap. It's a HUGE nerf to the first hit.
- The damage on the second hit just never seems to come. The delay is longer than the delay on Veigar's cage. It will NEVER connect vs a competent opponent who is not held down.
- Did I mention that item (2) means that, vs the average opponent, Viktor loses 142 + .28 AP damage off his typical laser?
- When all is said and done, the grand total "guaranteed" damage of new vs old Viktor for a simple Q-E-Auto combo at level 13 changed from 597 + 1.68 AP to 420 + 1.4 AP. It's a loss, assuming someone doesn't stand still, of 177 + .28 AP magic damage.
- Finally, his ult suffers from the same problem as his laser -- it is hard to connect follow-up hits. Even when it does connect, it feels exceptionally unsatisfying. It's more like "please god please finally do something" than "FEEL MY POWER, LUDDITE!"
On the flip side, at least it is still prohibitively expensive to spam the new lower-damage E! [slayer-jinx-wink]
