Not optimistic about S9.

Reading through the patch notes for 8.23 and seeing no real display of insight from riot on what made this such a shitty season for ranking. I feel like season 9 is just going to be more of the same, with the game de-evolving into just a party game only worth playing with people u know and drinking, instead of being the competitive game worth practicing the micro and strategies so you could improve and climb.

Let's see... huge problem this season with carrying player's not trying to win because of how snowbally the games are? Why not increase the amount of gold feeders are worth, and give the minions bonus movement earlier, and more of it, so your team bleeds out even harder from the weak link? Also we're going to give free gold to the enemy team just for hitting the tower on the player who got hard stuffed out of lane.

Also lowering the respawn timers of all major objectives, means you're forced to keep fighting or keep hemoraging objectives the whole time you're behind. Which was part of the problem to begin with, when you weren't forcing us to fight as often in previous season, carrying bad players just meant you had to convince them to stop fighting and farm, until we could catch a good fight. That was how u carried solo Q, this shit would only make sense to judge you by, if you were being judged as a team.

They're even hitting the late game camp experience for jungle, because they can't seem to realize it isn't anything to do with the amount of experience the camps give. It is that every single jungler played right now is high mobility high wave clear, and just goes all over the map collecting experience from clearing camps instantly, then pushing out a lane. If you're on the losing side, you are not ahead of experience as jg, I guarantee u. U may very well be the lowest level on the map, and it might not even be your fault, just had no lane pressure.

I also have no idea why they continue to make runes that offer large benefits to very specific champions like the new shield bash. Okay we get it, bruisers became broken and dominate in the top lane s8. Fix that, don't try to break other top laners, not all tanks have shields.

Maybe this is just a pointless rant, partially brought about by the frustration that the rest of the gaming industry can't seem to create any hits worth sinking alot of time into to get good at. But damn it'd be cool not to see riot destroy this game, at this point I really wish they'd just sell it to people who gave a fk.
