So when's something gonna be done about Jayce?

You know, the Top Laner who is one of the most contested Top Laners, who is not a tank (besides Fiora). He auto wins lane by his high early damage, range, poke and etc. If you dodge his E Q he will take half your health with Melee Q + AA + Knockback. If you try to stay behind and try to farm and you're Melee, who is not a tank, he will zone you with his E Q. Let's say you're a Melee Fighter and buy Tabis to prevent his all ins, then NOPE Lethality items on him will make your Armor useless. If your Jungler wants to Gank, Jayce can either 1v2 or run away since he has speed buffs.

So if you're a Melee Fighter, who isn't as strong as Jayce in the early you basically have to hug your tower and can't even CS. Let's not forget that the enemy Jungle can just dive you, since Towers are useless.

Where's the counterplay in that? There's a reason he has been a high contested pick for Top Lane for like a year and yet he is not even being touched at all

You can easily counter him if you just play safe the first 6 levels. Then you can just out play him there.

Or pick one of his actual counters like: Quinn, Nasus, Anivia, Cho, Singed, Irelia, Vlad, Maokai, Malphite.

Or you can keep trying to 1v1 him at level 4 when he has 6 abilities to hit you with.

Let's say you're a Melee Fighter and buy Tabis to prevent his all ins, then NOPE Lethality items on him will make your Armor useless.

By the time you have ninja tabis, you will have about 60 armor, Jayce will have roughly 10 or 34 depending on if he went full lethality runes. And only half that lethality would be used due to the armor pen rework. If you want to counter Jayce, buy Health and lots of it. Jayce is a burst Champ, he has long cooldowns.

If youre a melee fighter then you can just sit in brush and come out to farm. If Jayce wards said brush, then he has no vision of your jungler coming top. Thats when you tell your jungler to come top and let Jayce push the wave to your tower.

Theres a lot more champions in the top lane are played more than Jayce. Jayce is for someone who has played him a lot and knows how to carry. If you get a Jayce on your team, most of the time you lose. Because unless that Jayce gets fed, your team is pretty much useless in team fights.

Not all of them are contested picks, but they all have reliable and easy to use combos, and they all stack lethality. Although they usually fall off later in the game, it just doesn't feel interactive to play against them. You're forced into buying defensive items while they can just stack lethality and help their allies by roaming while you're stuck cowering undertower, begging for every cs you can gather.
