Hands up if you feel as I do that this game would be hugely better without "Generalist Champions". I am talking about the champions that are poster children for what their roles should be. Examples would be;

Top - Nidalee /Riven Mid - Nidalee /Yasuo Jungle - Nidalee /LeeSin ADC - Vayne Support - Thresh /Nidalee

These champions have kits that are well too generalised with no real weaknesses. If they had clear weaknesses, they would not be anywhere near as bad.

I want more champions with CLEAR weaknesses, like Velkoz

You still see Nidalee top/mid/support regularly? Huh. I wouldn't worry about that though, she's being gutted.

Other than that, some of these are wrong. I'll concede that Thresh/Yas/Vayne have kits that can kind of make them adaptable to any team comp, given that you have a decent amount of skill, but Nidalee is not at all a generalist, she's a highly-mobile pick-off champ. That doesn't mean she isn't strong, just not a generalist. If you need a support with peel or CC, or a tank or lategame champ. Nid isn't a great pick.

Riven though, she isn't a generalist at all, she's built to one thing, and that's kill high priority targets. If she gets fed, yeah she can kill pretty much anyone who isn't a tank with good CC, but saying she is a generalist implies that you can pick her on a team with no initiate, or against a team of tanks and champs with lots of CC, and she'd do just fine.

I think maybe you meant that these champs are OP because they have a high skill cap, which affords them way more power if the player can take advantage, as all of these champs have a high skill cap. That would be a way more justified criticism.

Riven does not have a high skill cap, the reason I call her that is because she has no mana, an overloaded kit and the only shield in the game to scale of AD. I've heard this "skill argument" several times, items like item 3071 make her pretty tanky and seriously, how much skill is there in a champ where you just have to spam buttons and not worry about any sort of cost other then cooldown.

Black Cleaver isn't even core on Riven, it's a good item sure, but usually not worth rushing over hydra and LW.

No mana also doesn't immediately make a champ OP, nor does having a 1 second shield. The reason you hear the skill argument so often is because it is true, not because boards is full of salty Riven mains.

You also don't spam buttons on Riven, you weave autos into your Qs (preferably with AA-canceling if you know how, which is almost required knowledge to be competitive with her). You don't spam out your shield because it's the only damage mitigation you have besides Q3 and your W. If you don't learn how to animation cancel with Riven, your combo takes far too long and gives your oppenent time to hit you back, and Riven is a squishy champ for a toplaner.

You said you wanted champs with clear weaknesses, here's Rivens' weakness: CC and poke damage. This is because CC shuts her down faster than an ulting Katarina, and if you do any damage to her in lane, it sticks, because she has terrible base health regen and has 0 sustain until she gets lifesteal.

She's an easy champ to pick up, play, and understand what you need to do, but actually doing things correctly is difficult. If you don't believe me, pick up Riven and play her top a few games. If you're right, then you'll be able to rake in that freelo, but you're making her out to be easier to play than she actually is.

EDIT: Actually, if you have a lot of trouble laning against Riven, I do recommend playing her a bit, it will teach you her thought process so you can predict her plays as well as teach you her weaknesses.

Lost all respect when I saw Yas and Lee. If you have problems with them maybe you're just trash

No, I have problems with them because they don't have real resources or moments of weakness.
