Riot's matchmaking is actually fantastic IMO

I see a lot of complaints about it, but aside from normal games I think Riot's matchmaking is great. Case in point: Last season I created a smurf account on euw, after my first 2 games, I was only matched with people who were definitely not new comers to the game. Fast forward to now when the account is level 30 and I constistently get matched with plat+ players (my main acc is plat 5).

And about the win-streak breaking thing, I think that's completely fair tbh. Think of it this way, when you play really really good, the game thinks that maybe you deserve a higher rank and it misjudged you. So it places you against the big boys to see how you fare, if you win, you get more LP than usual to speed up your climb and to save lower tier players from being crushed by you. If you lose however, the game goes back to pairing you with players that are closer to your tier.

I know we're all mad at riot for other things atm, but I think everything that needs to be said has been said already. So yea.. Kudos Riot
