Thank you for having manners

I just played a game with a wonderful team, we had yasuo top vs teemo, annie mid vs syndra, mf & karma vs ashe&lux bot, and finally sejuani(me) vs gragas in jungle. Halfway through the game annie became 1-6. I braced for flaming, cursing, passive agression, but nothing, no one said anything. Which was odd considering I got flamed for being 0/3 in the previous game. Then, Teemo became 0/5, which caused gragas to say "report teemo noob". "I'm only reporting you for saying that" I replied. "I was just about to say that" said Yasuo "He's 0/5" said gragas "Annie is 1/6 but no one's flaming here" said MF After a while teemo thanked us and said mid and jgl were flaming him. We won the game after many exchanges with gragas (we didn't flame him, just told him not to). The past few days the toxicity of the community has been really getting to me. But that game my faith was restored. So thank you MAB Yeradus (yasuo) and Sennonegai (MF) for having great manners.

I'll not deny, the community of League can be exceedingly toxic at times, which is the primary reason I avoid playing League when I do not have a strong inclination to do so. That said, there are some times when good people, polite people, show up. They are there to have fun playing a game, even when things look bad.

One of my fondest experiences was in Team Builder, where me and three complete strangers were waiting more than twenty minutes for a Support, and in that time we amused ourselves by being completely pompous idiots. Someone noticed my name and summoner icon, deciding to write in an exceedingly formal and archaic tone. Soon, everyone was doing it.

"I say, good sir, this wait is too long." "Indeed, old chap, Riot needs more incentives to play support."

And even once we found a Support, we kept it going in game, in /allchat, just to mess around.

"A gank!? How rude, good sir!" "Indeed! Very rude!" "Indubitably!"

"Viktor, old chap, would you like Blue?" "I would indeed, Volibear, if you would be so kind." "With pleasure!" "Much obliged!"

The fact that we won was just icing on the cake; my best game ever played in League.

But.. the PB &M/ Red posts say that threatening to report is toxic...

Therefore, you and the Yas are toxic.(or passive-aggressive, since that's toxic too)

Bad system.

Really glad to hear you had a positive experience! :) Players like that make the game very enjoyable, so it makes me happy to know there are others out there making the games fun :D

I hope you continue getting those positive players in your future games~ And who knows, maybe we'll be queued together one day :)

Ya I've had games where I fall behind but come back late game and I always thank my team for not flaming me when I was doing poorly. It really does help someone stay in the game and come back if you just don't rag on em for "feeding".

You'll be surprised how easily your faith in LoL's community can break
