Petition to make Captain Miss Fortune the default skin for Miss Fortune

A while ago, I read the burning tides story on the universe page, it was great and all, but I distinctly remember reading what miss fortune did/was and being really surprised about her in-game looks and quotes. In the burning tides story, MF was this scheming master mind bad ass that overthrow the tyranny of one of the most atrocious pirates to ever land on Bilgewater. In the game she looks like an expensive, pirate cosplay whore, she's there to be fap material and nothing else. Her quotes? a mix of seduction quotes even pornstars would cringe at, and a couple of solid ones that are actually good. Now Reav3 said they're updating her splash art, so I think captain miss fortune should be the default skin for miss fortune, cause it fits her, and makes her look like a badass. And rename the current default skin to "Busty Tavern Wench Miss Fortune" for extra points ( ͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡°)

EDIT: Well, this has sparked 3 things in my mind: 1- Everyone agrees that champions should look like their lore character. But not everyone seems on board with the idea that their looks should be updated in the game as their character is updated in the lore. 2- Riot might opt out of doing this so they can avoid what happened with the overwatch tracer's win pose. Thanks SJWs. 3- Would be awesome to have a rioter who works on lore/world building comment on this, but as I said, tracer's win pose.

Seriously, while there's nothing wrong with wanting a character to be more than sex appeal, people need to stop degrading female characters like this. Old MF was a sexy, flirty, gun slinging bad ass who could out drink men. She had a mercenary type of persona. She lived her life doing what she wanted, but was less heroic than say Braum.

Riot released in a statement i can't (be bothered to) find that the Captain Fortune skin is, in a sense, her default skin.

They said that Captain fortune is how Miss Fortune within the lore dresses while commanding her ship. Her base skin is how she dresses after making harbor and relaxing. She does not dress like that while actually commanding her vessel. Both skins are cannon, one is work, the other is (p)leasure.

I disagree. Burning Tides even makes it more apparent, that the way MF dresses in her normal skin is a facade. She lets the other pirates and people around her think that, yeah she's fierce, but she's also a bimbo.

She uses her looks as a sort of distraction from her true intents. It was what helped her stay under the radar of GP for so long. I think the opening scene depicts that well, the bar is jovial and uplifted, MF is the ring master behind all this joy. But as soon as she departs the bar, and rids herself of the facade (though not the clothes) she is a completely different person. She turns into the Captain she truly is.

So I do think Captain MF is a more accurate depiction of MF, but her classic skin tells more of her story and what she has had to do in order to become the Captain.

Also, she doesn't keep an iron grip on Bilgewater once it's over. Bilgewater is in a civil war essentially, and then being bombarded by Shadow Isle ghoulies. She won the battle, but she hasn't won the war. She isn't THE CAPTAIN, just yet.

There is so much wrong with this post I don't even know where to start.

  • beautiful - staying in shape - taking care of one self =/= being a whore

  • sassy - playful - spirited =/= flirty

  • a woman talking to you =/= seduction - flirting - trying to get in your pants

Miss Fortune is a beautiful, confident, sassy, playful, carefree, skilled bounty hunter, she enjoys life and is having a lot of fun and her character reflects that and there is nothing wrong with it.

Miss Fortune is a bounty hunter, not a pirate, although she has a crew of her own, they operate very differently from your everyday pirates. I am not sure if this was confirmed, but I believe captain MF is a depiction of what she wore during the Burning Tides event and not her everyday wear.

I don't really want a skin I payed $10 for all the sudden becoming her default. Technically tyrant Swain is what he would look like when he is leading the noxian armys, but alas thats not his default skin.

They really should Update Miss Fortunes Voice over first and foremost. The current one doesnt even reflect a third of what she is in lore.

Her current classic look to me feels like a everyday outfit, while her Captain skin is when she does official formal stuff that pirate captains do.

And what about those who bought Captain Miss Fortune? What do we get for essentially wasting our money, even if we bought it back when it came out?

And what about Gangplank? Should his captain skin be made his classic skin, too? After all, it wouldn't make much sense to not give him the change to since he is, 100% a pirate captain.
