i agree. I would love to play URF if it was AP.
Actually have the same philosophy for ARAM. I LOVED playing All mid in HoN.. but only because my main was Torturer(Leshrac). OFC there are lots of other great heroes that were good in that mode, and ofc there are many champions that are amazing in ARAM and URF... but it's all up to the user who is playing them.
I can understand ARAM.. to an extent.. but URF? you're giving people a random champion they've played maybe 5-10 times at most...with a super slimjim chance for someone to get a main champion they play.
I guess they don't want anyone to be picking their mains that do super duper well in that particular game-mode and make it an "unfun" experience for everyone else?
It's really telling how they view their game as a company. Like, it's almost as if they know their game is shit.
"it's more balanced for mains to be handed out randomly without discrimination than to let people pick their mains whenever they want"
maybe 2-3 possibly more people in an average urf game know how to play their champion at least to an extent...they know what to build etc.
but it's urf...so you're expected to learn a champion with 80% cdr against champions with 80% cdr.
1 MAYBE 2 people in an urf game know what they're doing in that urf game. could get lucky and all two URF players will be on opposing teams so the food will be evenly spread out at the very least.
Most of the time nobody at all knows what they're doing so whatever. It's Riot. They don't care.
