Design wise. Wouldn't having Mid lane Juggernauts/Bruisers/Tanks be something worth exploring?
and
come to mind.
With Marksmen starting to see play in other lanes too I think it's time to open up other lanes for the tanky folk that tends to roll top lane. Why you may ask? Simple;
it offers a lot of strategically interesting perks as it allows for different team comps where you have a squishy top lane carry. Currently you KINDA need to be tanky if you want to play top lane, gimping your own team if you do fall behind on a damage-heavy squishy like Riven or Irelia.
So why not allow some durable champions to be played Mid lane as their primary role, allowing their team to rally behind the bulk that is their defenses.
All it takes is these champions having: A) good (ranged) wave clear B) Be AP based in order to not gimp a team's damage output C) Be able to hold their own against ranged champions
So, are we going to see this design explored more now that we got Galio's VGU and Mordekaiser, another contender, being slated for a VGU?
and maybe
been playing this guy mid since the rework
(and before that too on occasion)
