Inphernal1 votesAatrox has health costs attached in order to fuel his passive and encourage the player to heal using Blood Thirst. % costs instead of static costs are healthier for the game, since a 50 health cost in the early game would be much more devastating to the player than a 50 hp health cost in the late game. "Well why not just increase the health cost of the spell by champion level?" Well, when i play AP Morde mid (RIP) or AD Aatrox, i dont want to spend 300 HP to cast a spell when i only have one defense item. Your thematic concerns are addressed as well.
