Earned my up vote. My fight against the bots continues every day.

It will not be normal and ranked. They are botting to lvlup account and coop games ensure victory. Sure its a minor problem, but it wont escalate into something important.

It doesn't matter if they win. It only matters if the account isn't banned before the owner can sell it (ie, before it hits 30).

Ey im not defending them. Im just saying it wont escalate into lvl 30 ranked and normal games.

I heavily disagree, already you see these bots in PvP. Just because ARAM or Rotating Game Mod Queue aren't the main focus of LoL like SR and ranked, they are still major aspects of the game that more than 50% of the player base enjoy regularly. By already having bots in those PvP game modes, the botting has already escalated into something important. When new members won't even be able to try to learn League because every Co-op vs. AI game they get into is filled with four player bots that feed to no end, it's already escalated into something important.

All you League players are so selfish. You think so long as something doesn't affect you, it isn't a problem and shouldn't be addressed. Like one of those people who queue up for an ARAM game, do 100% awful almost purposely, and then laugh off your teammates because "It's just ARAM."

Fact that you arent willing to accept is that botting is impossible to stop or prevent. They can punish once they catch, but damage will already be done. And yes, its good for now that they are contained in less popular modes.

It's actually super easy to stop botting, most companies don't bother because they've already made a shit ton of money off their players and they know their players are going to continue playing regardless of the botting; the exact same thing happening here with Rito.

Also, if you could please not be arrogant, I would greatly appreciate that. For starters, regardless of the game modes, botting is a problem and ruining people's fun. Already stated that; why bother quoting someone in your reply if you didn't read what they said? There is no "damage already done" by botting? You get rid of them and then the problem is solved, thing of the past. As well as, it's because botting isn't 100% ridiculous yet and is semi contained still that getting rid of it would be even easier to do.

This is League of Legends, not some giant open free world like WoW or Runescape where bots can be literally any where at any time on any server. All we have here are region servers only as well as only 3 permanent game modes. You really think it would be oh so difficult for Riot to hire a small team with the sole purpose of getting rid of bots? Or hell, even just actually listen to player reports on bots and do something about it.

This is a common problem with a common found solution. Anyone with some common sense can put 2 and 2 together here.

Its impossible to stop botting. Thinking that is just a dream. Anyone with a bit of technology and software knowledge knows that programs like that can always be updated no matter what anti cheating program Riot uses. Hire small team? There are, i believe 9 regions. There are milions of players in each regions. Milions of games. They would have to hire hundreds of people for each region. Do you have any idea how much that costs?

Do you know how much Rito makes? It wouldn't cost nearly as much as you're thinking.

Also, I'm hella rusty now, but I used to know quite a good deal about software and programming. I've made and aided in many programs in fact, so I know full well what goes into this kind of stuff.

I never said it would be an easy task, but at least some effort would be nice, don't you think? It's not impossible to stop botting, but it is defs something that will take a good deal of effort and quite some time, thus why it needs to be an effort on all ends. Sure, mostly Riot should be doing something about the botting, but the players could be aiding more. Instead of sitting around with your tiny violin, going on and on about how "the botting can't be stopped, why even bother trying, it's a useless effort, blah, blah, blah", you could start reporting these bots yourself.

Right now the problem is just being written off, but sooner or later it's gonna fester and start being a problem everywhere.

Its like saying "its possible to stop crime by hiring millions of cops to cover everything everywhere".

It would cost alot. They would have to go through interviews to give job to hundred of thousands of people. There would be millions of applicants. They would have to check them, train them. Then all kind of stuff thats done when it comes to hiring someone. Then they would have to organize shifts... Then their salaries, holidays. It would be full time job. It is possible , but is it worth going through all that to prevent some bots in ARAM?

And after all that effort, why would they do that? What would they gain to be worth millions and alot of time.

Vhan87652 votes

You realize you just proved yourself wrong, right?

No, not hire millions of people to stop this, but you know, hire some people, like cops, to regulate it lol. Right now, 100% nothing is being done against the botting. And, like I keep saying lol, if you leave it alone completely, it's going to get worse.

Also that and, literally, botting has been being dealt with by millions of gaming companies for the past however long. Are you really so in your own little world that not only you can't listen to what I've said, but that you are denying the whole history of gaming?

Companies hire programmers, hackers, coders, and people who deal with this kind of stuff naturally, precisely to prevent and deal with this kind of thing. It is a known and dealt with problem.

It's called a "job". Now, these, "jobs", are things people get hired to do daily. Many are things that need to be done and dealt with but aren't high priority, so the company hires people to do some of these lower priority "jobs". (Generally people with skill in the required area as well.) Now that you know what a job is again, you should realize people want work to, you know, be able to stay alive. And if they're being offered work for something they both know how to do and are good at, who would say no? (Cause, you know, generally people want work in an area with the skills they're good at.)

Oh, but hold on though, you mentioned work schedules and everything. Because, dang, it is so hard to find time to sit in front of a computer and ban bots. [slayer-jinx-wink]

"Making dinner! (BANNING BOTS!)" "On the toilet! (BANNING BOTS!)" "Riding a bus! (BANNING BOTS!)" "Sitting around bored! (BANNING BOTS!)" "Doing my job! (BANNING BOTS!)" "Getting paid! (BANNING BOTS!)" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NisCkxU544c

You're right, that was hard.

Anyways though, I'm done here now. Continuing anymore would be pointless I'm sure, plus I can tell I'm getting a bit snippety now; talking to you is like talking to a brick wall, no offense. But you are just so stuck in your own little world that it's annoying trying talk to someone that literally isn't listening.

I'll just be here waiting for once you start getting player bots ruining your ranked games.

You think nothing has been done. Bots use certain third party programs. Riot has its own software to battle 3rd party programs. Which in turn update their botting programs, so Riot updates their. Same as Blizzards "Warden" or whatever its called. I am telling u, its impossible to stop botting. U are saying million of gaming companies stopped bots. Which ones? Which gaming company whose game have more than Million players stopped bots? Yes sure if your game has 50 players u can easily catch bot. What about 60 million players? Idea about "online cops" is just a dream, that can never come true. Its just not worth investing millions of dollars and months of time into that.

No flash no life1 votes

Never, unless account generation becomes no longer easy and free. Removing merit of botting simply does not work, because as we all know this community acts not for its merit but for others' misery.

Never. Riot knows that containing the bot problem is pretty much the only option. And that means letting it fester in the modes that most people don't play.

Its impossible to stop. Blizzard has been battling bots for 12 years just in WOW, not to mention their other games. ITs eternal battle. They have it even worse and their games arent free to play. So how do you expect Riot to stop it?
