As a Player New To Cassiopeia

I actually like her playstlye and feel. Maybe she's not what Cass mains are used to and want but she's still a fun champion with a fairly good kit now. I just wanted to highlight that not EVERYBODY has a problem with her updated kit. She feels a little like a Miss Fortune mage. Her Q makes her fast, her W slows and meanwhile, you try to attack them with E as much as you can.

I do get where you're coming from though. My AP Kog is having some trouble lately due to the ult. nerfs primarily aimed at AD Kog. If they suddenly changed Kog's ult. range or some other drastic thing, I'd probably be annoyed too because that's one of the big reasons I play him. It wouldn't matter if his new kit was still good. However, for a new Kog player, maybe it wouldn't feel bad. The same with Cass. I don't know her old kit but the new one feels smooth enough.

Honestly the problem with Cass is that she isn't tuned number wise yet. Most people on here are not going to be happy with her new playstyle or kit, and thats whatever. People eventually stopped complaining about Scarma.

No, it is not about numbers, it's about her horrible passive and twin fang centric kit. It's about the fact that they took the AoE poison mage and made it into Ryze 0.5.

Karma was a whole different story, she was homogenized beyond compare. Sure, she's healthier for the game, but she no longer has anything that only she can do. Again, identity crisis, not a gameplay issue.

If he likes it, whatever. I disagree fully, but I didn't say anything to him because he's not trying to justify the rework, only expressing that he's okay with it.

You, on the other hand, seem to think we're to be discounted and have no right to vocalize our opinion about something we feel strongly about. You need correcting on the reasons we hate this rework. Your misinformed arguments on what we don't like makes you look really clueless.

You have all the right in the world to vocalize your opinion, thats what vocal minorities do.

The cass rework is staying. Stashu will never listen to you. Its going to be buffed until it is deemed acceptable just like skarner and karma before her. No amount of bitching and bandwagoning is going to do anything.

I used to help with the threads but there are like 10 new ones a day and any thread that isnt 100% flaming and shaming the rework is torn down and mocked by people like you. Don't act all high and mighty.

DaCush3 votes

Jesus, someone finally said it. Thank God. The bandwagon is real and if you disagree with the almighty banwagon, you shall be down voted to hell and kicked aside because your opinion is most definitely wrong even though I bet at least 25% of them haven't even played the new Cass.

EDIT: Sorry bud, looks like I screwed you with my reply. You had several upvotes and then I commented and the bandwagoners came running and now you're back at one and I'm in the negatives. Let the bandwagon continue! They most certainly proved the point of my post xD

ShadowParker3 votes

Ha. The only reason people were downvoted in those threads is because of the fact that they had no knowledge. Most of them hadn't even played old Cassiopeia. And about 3/4 of them were just telling us to stop bitching with rude remarks attached to them.

You realise new Cass has 1 ability?

Your q and w are designed to allow you to hit them with your main damage source. Your E isn't great without them. How is this different from other champions?

Are you seriously this stupid? Like, is this a post you actually intended to be considered seriously?

The Cass rework is a total joke and stashu is an idiot whose ego is too huge to admit he fucked up bad, just like most of Riot.

Another bandwagoning Riot hater. Stashu has represented no ego that I've seen. The one with the ego is the one who's talking bud.

Different definitions of Ego.

You're using it to define attitude from what I can tell, but the other person is using it to define the concept of the Id, Ego, and SuperEgo, specifically how Stashu's rework has been told (from day one on the PBE) that it needs more emphasis on poison (and implied that this is not a damage issue but that she must press E in order to do anything) is his Ego not balancing his idea with actual thought, that his Ego is believing in itself without being questioned by the Id and SuperEgo.

Freudian psychology is also almost entirely a crock of shit. The one useful thing that came out of it is the idea that childhood is actually kind of important on development.

Stashu's ego is indeed evident in the fact that not only will he not revert this trash, he won't even admit that he fucked up majorly in it.

Hmmm I'd love to debate this with you but this certainly isn't the place (nor do I have the time ,_,) so I suppose for now we have to agree to disagree

He's perfectly willing to say that his thing was wrong.

Just not to fix what was wrong. d:

Simple!

Other champions that rely on ability combos make the ability that is dependent on the combo the lackluster one.

For Cassiopeia she relies on a poisoned enemy to make Twin Fang great.

But her poisons suck.

For Anivia, she relies on a Chilled enemy to make Frostbite great.

But Flash Freeze and Glacial Storm (which apply Chilled!) are actually very nice by themselves-- it is only Frostbite that feels lackluster when not used in tandem with Anivia's kit.

I'm not sure what to max tbh I can't feel her damage

I feel like she needs bigger numbers but otherwise she feels pretty okay

I've tried maxing Q first and it doesn't feel as good. Maybe E then Q?

I like Cass's new kit...but here is the thing: IT DOESN'T FIT CASS.

Put this kit on a NEW champion, not on Cassiopea and give her her old kit back!

DaCush3 votes

Except her old kit didn't fit her at all and the majority of the Cass community agrees on this. You failed at your bandwagon. Why don't you create another thread about it. Folks, give the man upvotes because he disagreed with a positive Cass thread even though he doesn't have the same opinions!

You might want to double check your facts. The majority of the Cass community liked old Cassiopeia, saw no reason for her rework, and loathe the trash rework she was given.

The rework is completely worthless and should never have even gone live.

DaCush1 votes

Why don't you go check back on Stashus threads where everyone agrees that the old kit didn't fit Cass at all but they don't think the new one does either.

Here is a list of people saying that her old kit didn't fit her: -you -stashu

Both of you are idiots, so there's another thing you have in common.

There were no people who wanted Cassiopeia to be reworked. There was no reason for this piece of shit rework. The half-assed justification Riot gave for it was filled to the brim with flat out lies.

Except her old kit is the same as her current kit but with completely different numbers.

The only change kit-wise was the passive which is bad and her damage on Q/W has been basically removed.

DaCush1 votes

So you reiterated my point.

Elphrihaim3 votes

No, I did no such thing.

You were arguing that her old kit didn't fit her.

Her current kit is less fun to play and does not thematically suit who Cassiopeia is/was because the way she played before was to simply wait for enemies to be low before going in and finishing them off.

So... a) You changed your mind about what your argument is or b) You're a troll or c) You're a moron that can't remember what their point was.

I'm pretty sure it's not c, but I can't exclude it.

The Queen Viper4 votes

Her old kit was just fine actually... had a great synergy and Deadly Cadence was the engine which allowed Cass to spam spells in the first place. Now when Stashu removed that thing, no wonder Cass has mana issues and is obligated to get a mana item unlike before.

Not to mention the current stacking passive makes Cass pretty much useless outside of Summoner's Rift... while she used to be a good pick in Twisted Treeline for example.

Skia Asteri3 votes

She is fine now, some people just like to whine.

The Queen Viper5 votes

No, not really .... she's still underwhelming.

Here's the thing, let's use your Kog example. Which is better.

Actual Kog fans + New Players happy

vs.

A few New Players happy

Also let's see how smoothly you do when you're up against a smart opponent using a champion with a little bit of mobility or range

I think he's really fun and strong too. i've had a lot of success playing her recently. She' probably one of my favorite mid nows.

What Cassiopeia currently feels like to me is a really better made version of Urgot's duelist playstyle, as a former Urgot player before the boot heel stomp on the enjoyability of his kit he experienced. It's got that same visceral satisfaction of dancing on a knife's edge and then striking and eviscerating an enemy when you see the opportunity.

There could certainly be some changes made to better emphasize the poison aspect. I would be loathe to invest more power back into miasma as a lot of Cass players would like to be done, having always hated being on the receiving end of that (but by that token I'd even more like to see Zigg's minefield be less of a bastard, so consider that comparison of feeling).

Honestly, it's a difficult task implementing a true poisoner into the game. It's just more viscerally unpleasant to play against, even if in actual power and function it's not much different than bursting a champ periodically in a similar window. Weird that. Oddly, the reason is probably because you don't feel as much immediate satisfaction for NOT seeing a huge chunk of hp go away when you successfully dodge a burst spell.

Perhaps just giving some faster acting, powerful poison DOT on the Q would be a nice compromise of feeling for player and opponent.

As for her old structure of abilities, I never personally enjoyed it, so I can't really comment on any satisfaction lost in the transition.

Take that feedback for what you will.
