I'm confused...
Why is everyone complaining about stopwatch? Does it not prevent snowballing by saving lives? I thought we didn't like how snowbally the game was.
I personally like stopwatch because not only does it take more thought to use than most defense mechanisms, it helps against heavy snowball champs. I don't like how 1 or 2 early kills can decide a lane or the game. Plus it's one use, pretty easy to bait out, and you know when the enemy champion has it available.
I do think it might be a bit too efficient though. I don't exactly know what's going on on PBE, but I personally suggest either making it so broken stopwatch has no gold value (so that you can't just use it and sell it for free gold, but instead actually upgrade the stopwatch), make it so that using it, then immediately upgrading it doesn't FULLY reset the cooldown on the stasis effect, or lower how much gold it gives to upgrade it.
Anyway, I think stopwatch would lose a bit of popularity if everyone didn't have to fear getting oneshot (which leads to the aforementioned snowball), since there's so much damage that passive play is necessary, and for the argument saying that it rewards aggressive play, doesn't using stasis aggressively actually show skill expression?
I just don't get the massive uproar about the item.
