Has anyone tried selling the support item before clearing a wave?
The quest holds the status of the current quest, so you don't need to worry about losing quest completion.

Pretty sure gold diminishing is X CS killed on your "Tab" page when you look how much cs you have. The item checks the numbers and then penalties you. Unless you mean, sell it. Kill ward. Sell, kill ward.
The maybe you're onto something.
the quest remains same if you sell it and buy it again what is fun the price of 400 gold stays the same even if you buy it again and get the full quest (if you completed) you can also sell it and change support item for 400 gold and get the same quest
Is it worth to sell it and clear waves like crazy to get more gold ... yes if you are 4 vs 5 ( not in all scenarios ) depends also if you can clear fast ... one minion wave is 120gold (approximately) so you need 3.5 waves to get the support item back
