Clash taught me something

The type of game play people want from League is never going to come from solo queue no matter how much you kick and scream at Riot about it. Complaints about damage being too high or champions being overpowered or not will never make solo queue play the way you want it to play, even when Riot obliges (which they do, to which you guys still complain).

Its my hope that hey one day folks might realize the point I keep trying to drive home. If you don't like the RNG of teammates you solve this problem by playing in a premade group. 100% reliable method to accomplish this.

But make a post about 5 man competitive ques and the difficulty of implementation and what issues need to be overcome. Or try and talk about enhancing Riots Club feature to be attractive? You can hear the crickets mate.

I am with Ye Xiu philosophy. This games not meant to be played alone.

Boards are just not a very healthy place for positive conversations.

I realized this years ago, honestly, but it brings itself to a front when playing in a fully pre-made group. My group was discussing champ picks, individual strengths and weaknesses, and our drafting strategy. The whole thing was way more enjoyable than getting a random team comp of random dudes that won't budge on what they want to do, silently getting screwed over by your own team and wishing your champ was overpowered enough to 1v5 despite that.

The game is a team game, but people want it balanced like it's a series of 1v1s happening at the same time and it won't work. People actually think that Riot can solve all their problems by balancing around dudes that have no clue how to tap into even 25% of their champion.

Ultimately what it boils down to is its a PvP game. But a massive # of the players (on boards at least) Don't seem to understand the impact that makes.

Gameplay is Player and Player. Even with good game health good balance, good kits, good items.... It all goes to shit if your player population has to much fun sucking behavior in it.

Like if 10% of folks being toxic means you see toxic folks in nearly every game given that there are 10 players per match. 9 to 1 odds each slot that player might wreck your matches enjoyment. Folks think "meh 10% that's low." In practice its insanely common.

That's just an arbitrary value I made up btw, People can fill in their own views on how many toxic or fun sucking players are in their MMR range. If the share it I can attempt to do the math to get an idea how common it is.
