Juggernauts vs Divers

Spear of Shojin and the other items were finally a chance to give Juggernauts and Divers distinct item builds. So when it's release was canceled I was super pissed.

Both groups are balanced around items like trinity force, black cleaver, sterak's gage, or dead mans plate. And the champions in these groups suffer from too many balance issues because of it.

They may have some similarities but their differences make it a non stop give and take between the two classes when it comes to the current items available. They share so many of the few items between them that whenever you change an item because of one class the other is also significantly affected even if the change wasn't intended to.

Divers want to go in deep into the enemy during a fight while Juggernauts want to work their way in from the outside.

Divers want/need tools to help deal with the burst and CC that will come down on them once they go in. Juggernauts want help in being able to keep working through the sustained damage and kiting as they push into the enemy team.

But the few items between them means the items have to compromise for both groups. Which has lead to both their needs being satisfied half assed because there isn't enough items available to specialize for both group's desires.

As someone who players Rhaast, Rek'Sai, and Warwick (as well as some others) I agree with this statement

They all use essentially the same build

Rhaast and Rek sai are damn near Identical, and Warwick just doesnt build Black Cleaver.

What Juggs need are items that makes them unstoppable similar to BKB, something that will make them fast and hard to CC for a short moment.

"Spear of Shojin and the other items were finally a chance" to be the final nail in the coffin, if they were released when the game was in a pretty bad spot. I'm not sure that these items belong at all to the game, because they will make you unkillable, if you are ahead. I've played with the new items only on the new game mode, but Talon tanking 5 man is not balanced (I got a quadra or penta, idk...) So much for this items, if they are strong, they will ruin any sense of balance, then will have to be nerfed. If they are weak, nothing will change. I doubt that Riot will manage to balance them. There are always abuse cases that make both the item/mastery and the champion to be nerfed in the end.

I feel like Spear of Shojin and Atma's Reckoning would just cause more problems than they'd solve.

Riot needs to ensure they don't turn Divers into Juggernauts with gapclosers
