Tryndamere Ultimate Change

I feel that Tryn's 5 seconds of invulnerability are just so damn long and annoying. Even Kayle's ult only lasts 3 seconds and sure it prevents CC but in lane Tryn can just look at you and BOOM! He's dived you. There's no counter unless you just dance around turret over and over or have some sort of stun, which many top laners don't have.

Change: After activating, Tryn cannot be damaged for 2.5 seconds, during which he restores 15/20/25% of his maximum HP (+ 200% Bonus AD) health.

It can be passive/active, doesn't matter. Just change so it's not an issue. Sure he's vulnerable after the 5 seconds but he can just Q since he has max fury from his ult and restore 200-300 HP and you can't fkn kill him.

Or... you realize you can just CC him anyways and/or just kite him. And then kill him by holding onto your finisher until it's over?

Tryndamere isnt even a good champion lmao

Trynd's ult prevents him from falling below 1 hp for 5 seconds

Kayle sacrifices 2 seconds of that and gains cc immunity and complete invincibility where she can't lose any hp

it's actually a pretty balanced tradeoff if you insist on comparing 2 completely separate champions just because they have a similar ability.

Where is everyone getting the CC immunity from? I checked the Wiki and Kayle's page on league, it says nothing about CC immunity. Just immunity to all damage. I'd love to know for sure because frankly I always try to CC Kayle during her ult (I mean, if you can't damage, then CC is the next best thing).

AFAIK the reason Kayle's is shorter is twofold: Prevents all damage (rather than preventing death) means the champion can heal up during it, or it can be used earlier in a fight (Trynd's is useless if he's about to get bursted 100-20, Kayle's is incredible). Can be cast on allies, not just herself.

As for Trynd, I have no problem with his ultimate offensively. My most annoying game ever though was as Gnar against Tryndamere, where I had 2 early kills on him, but after 6 whenever I engaged he just ultied and ran back to tower. I couldn't kill him the rest of the game. Couldn't snowball my lead at all. He'd just farm in lane and I'd poke and when I finally got mega to go all in he just ulti'd and twirled away.

So, if Trynd really needs a change, his ult could have a reduced duration that scales up to the current duration as long as he's attacking an enemy champion. Needs at least 3 auto attacks to restore normal duration for example. That would seem a lot more fair. I mean, Trynd using his ult to run away in terror and never fight is really not his identity.

You'd have to buff the duration though. If I'm gonna have to hit people with an extremely kiteable champion to have my ult not sucking, then I better get a goddamn good reward for doing so. Specially because 3 autos is usually what Trynd needs to kill a squishy, so it's a lot.

I was thinking buffs to the rest of his kit rather than to his ultimate. Currently his ultimate hogs the power in his kit. Of course, that's all assuming his ultimate needs a change. I'm not entirely convinced of that. I just know I found that one game frustrating. One game doesn't tell a whole story though.

You'd need to give him some tenacity as well if you wanted to enforce his ult to be an offensive tool. Of course, we're just vaguely speculating on how to change Trynd's ult so none of this is truly "you have to" but usually if you want to force an ability into a certain playstyle you should also give it a buff towards that playstyle

Okay, to give a more explicit example of what I mean:

Nerf: Tryndamere's ultimate only lasts 2.5 seconds, gaining 0.8333 seconds per auto attack (up to max of 5 seconds) (max duration = current duration).

Buff: Trynd's mocking shout now slows by 50 / 56.25 / 62.5 / 68.75 / 75% (previously 30 / 37.5 / 45 / 52.5 / 60%). Buffs his attacking playstyle since it only affects champions with their backs turned to him.

Of course it may not be a big enough buff, but the overall idea was that Trynd could gain something outside of his ultimate if his ultimate's defensive uses were limited.

wouldnt really help him much at all since their is a soft cap for slowing movement speed at 220, and a hard cap of 110.

Aren't top laners supposed to be durable, or at least have some type of mobility ->Fiora So that should keep you alive. If not, then you deserve to die when you're at a % of health he can kill you in 5 seconds in a turret dive.
