Riot make a rotating game mode called season 2 and show people what the game use to be like.

Yes the game had it's issues back then but many of us long time players liked not gettign instantly killed while having 300 armor and 200 MR with 4000 health. Marksmen had to work for a late game fantasy to be most powerful. Supports were powerful without items and godly with them.

None of the champs starting with Nami active jsut to insure that no game breaking issues arise with new champs and old items. Just show the players what the game was like at the end of season 2.

And yes I know you can in fact go back to older versions of the game and play them at any time for "testing". You said you did this with the Riven CC canceling to find out when it could first be done. Consider this a chance to test the direction the game has been going for the past 4 years.

you know the sad part? it's that it should be done without any request from players

dota2 has it wow had it until they deleted it because it made them losing a lot of players that played the original version instead of the one that evolved There is a french RPG named Dofus that opened in october 2016 a version of the game in 2008/2009 and they said "we opened it so you can see how the game was trash before, and how we did a good job"

why isn't riot doing the same then? they can open an old version of the game to just test themselves, test themselves from players's perspective, if they did a good job at fixing the old problems (it has problems yes) OR if they added x1000 more problems

you can, but it would be completly free since you're not the one owning the game but riot does. So you would need someone working for no interests at all since he wouldn't make any money eventually if it makes riot losing a lot of players they will shut down it like it happened in other games. though in some other games companies decided to open servers of their old version of the game after doing it

Not really Elysium the private vanilla wow server is in Russia and blizzard cant do anything to shut it down

Well if this works out well and is popular I am sure they would consider making a a rotating game mod called Season 1 sometime which would basically be what you are suggesting.

uh what? ADCs had to work harder to be powerful? excuse you? ADCs STILL have to work super hard in order to be relevant during late game, have you ever seen a 3 item ADC during late game? it's a joke and you explode in 2 seconds if you miss your positioning

not really, a well fed tank is incredibly durable, take a look at Poppy for example, she's incredibly proficient at staying alive, this was her main role during the tournament and everyone loved her because of it, currently she is still pretty damn tanky and a Poppy that's fed is incredibly annoying to deal with.

the thing is, Tanks take an equal amount of effort to play succesfully since you need the same thing other classes need (and sadly have an easier time getting in thanks to the nature of offense) Gold, if you don't acquire gold and buy the right items you won't be able to fulfill your role
