Is anyone else being autofilled excessively?

i'm on a silver 5 smurf where literally the largest % of the player base is and every 2-3 games i'm having to play support, even through the fill protection i'm still getting it and the queues aren't even long, i always start out getting my role, then some idiot dodges because it's basically high bronze, and then i'm support, is it using my one game protection things in the dodged lobby then taking it off?

if so that's incredibly bad

i shouldn't be having to support this much, it makes it impossible to enjoy the game having to play the role riot destroyed in season 3 every few games
