My Problem with the Practice Tool: Minions
A big appeal of the practice tool for me was the ability to make last hitting practice easier and more streamlined. I decided I wanted to practice my Level 1 last hitting on Taliyah, so I locked my level and went to lane. After a few minutes, I realized that minions were scaling and my Q+Auto wasn't killing ranged minions anymore, so I thought: "Okay, that's inconvenient, but I can just hit the reset button." So I reset and return to lane. I go to use my Q on the ranged minions again, and...
They don't die. Minion scaling isn't reset along with the rest of the game. I'll have to leave the game and restart now anyway, so why am I not just playing in a custom game? I find it a bit odd that this wasn't considered, since I view the main reason for the reset button to be for practicing last hitting. The same goes for level locking; the point of it is to stop your scaling so you can practice at a very specific power level, but that doesn't mean anything if your target continues to get stronger anyway.
With this in mind, I would like to see:
- Minion stats reset when the game resets.
- Minions stop scaling when Level Lock is on.
Don't get me wrong, I love that we have the Practice Tool. Being able to quickly test builds, practice Flashes, etc. is amazing to have, and I realize that this is no worse than what we had before. I just think that this is essential for the Practice Tool when one of the two example scenarios was endless Level 1 practice.
