Veigar's Event Horizon has a delay, so does Yorick's Dark Procession

But for some reason Anivia 's is instant.

Seriously, this champion is already extremely frustrating to play against, at least give us SOME counterplay when playing against her.

The thing I hate the most about Anivia is the extreme zone control she provides while also doing ridiculous damage. I've always hated that "utility" mages get to do as much damage as damage mages. It's why this season you barely saw anything in mid besides Viktor, Ori, and Taliyah, etc.

utility, what do ppl mean when they say utility, cuz i always assumed some form of mobility, and ive always pictured her as a zoning burst mage, not a utility mage

Her wall and aoe slow and aoe stun all provided utility.

Utility is anything that is not damage. So cc/movement/and player created terrain. Some people consider healing utility as well.

ok so they mean cc, thanks, but, i mean, shes still pretty weak compared to others, she provides amazing teamfights in the jungle tho

Her zone control comes at two big costs, range and mana. She's one of the only champions that is forced to go Tear because she is ultra mana hungry. On top of that her range is fairly low, with her E being her main damage spell and that's like 595 range, much shorter than most mages and shorter than some ADCs. Her R also has a 6 second cooldown so if you place it wrong you're fucked, on top of it no longer procing the E crit unless full sized. Also her wall is really easy to fuck up. Anivia is really strong but really vulnerable. She gets negative 20 or so armor and MR in her passive early, so she also has a sort of weak early lane. I think the bigger thing is that Anivia is a champion people don't respect because they don't see her often. She's got a skill curve to her but she is very rewarding for learning that curve.

I will give you Yorick on that one but Veigar's event horizon is a 2.5 second AoE Stun that stops dashes on a lower CD (maxed 14 second CD on a champion who generally builds CDR) while Anivia's is just a wall. I'm sorry but Veigar's event horizon is much more BS then Anivia's wall and that is why he has a delay on it.

She needs her wall to be instant for her to really have any chance at keeping enemies in her ultimate (besides for them being predictable and easy to land Q on them). She already had her instant R>E combo removed and now she relies on her wall to get the chill off of her ultimate.

fun fact, anivia's W has a tiny cast time, play her a lot and it can make a big difference most the time

well. at least anivia's wall isn't a cage i guess. can be pretty freakin deadly sometimes, though it's kinda one of her biggest strengths as a control mage.

Are you struggling against Anivia? Because I can point out all her flaws.

FatedSaviour1 votes

like her Q being one of, if not THE slowest projectiles in the game XD

Kaìju1 votes

I think it's the second slowest, I think Morgs Q is the only thing slower.

FatedSaviour1 votes

time to look it up anivia Q = 850 morganna Q = 1200

Only if you also make her Q like Aurelions Q :]

how about the tiny cast time that can make the difference between displace away and displace towards, or her slow movespeed with no utility, or how about you can walk around it, veig is a stun and a cage, and yoricks is also a cage, this is just a wall, deal with it
