Where does Kassadin fit in? I feel he's weak.

I love the playstyle with him but I'm a victim in the laning phase. I don't get semi good until lvl 11 when I can put a 2nd point into my ultimate. My Q has no early game dmg at all so I have no decent poke against mid laners. No hard CC to stop someone from closing in on me pre lvl 6. Even at level 6 the CD on my ultimate is a let down (It should have charges like Teemo's mushrooms; so I can go in and get out) because lets face it, early game Kassadin you go in and don't get the kill they cc jump on you and your dead.

What's wrong with this champion?

Kassadin is a late game god. He's terrible early game to make up for that, because if he was good in the laning phase as well, he would be pretty op.

My Kass W/R is 56% and still rising. He isn't trash if you know where his weaknesses are and how to play around them. Example pre 6 you might need to CS with Q. That's fine, his laning phase in some matchups get that shitty. However there are some matchups you can smash pre 6 if played right that people get scared of. Lissandra for example. Just Q the shit out of her and wafltch her counter Q do 0 damage. If she goes in with her gap closer just trash her with your rotation and thunderlords.

Kassadin is garbage. His lack of safety/mobility pre-6 is outclassed by other assassins, such as Leblanc and Zed. And in terms of actual burst, he is again outclassed by assassins. Even at level 6, assassins are still safer than Kassadin will ever be.
