I honestly never hated on people so much in my life until I played LOL. The amount of complaining, blaming and stupidity is staggering. People in queue threatening to feed if they don't get to play their favorite lane. Are you kidding me? Or buying six pairs of boots because they are upset the game isn't going well.

Its amazing that these people probably act polite and nice in real life...but once they feel anonymous their ego and pride and snide attitude that they hide comes out.

I spend time and money on this game, and I expect Riot to provide an atmosphere where games are won and lost based on skill, not because someone wants to troll or duo top because they wanted top. If people don't want to be civil and reasonable, they should take it somewhere else. If I screenshot a chat in queue with a player threatening to feed and email Riot, will they take action on that player?

Unfortunately, ever since the Tribunal went the way of the Dodo, Riot's done little to police the toxic trolls and entitled children (and man-children) who make league the wonderful place that it is.

The advice to take it as a joke is probably the best thing you could do, second to ignoring and reporting. Simply because, that toxic player is acting like an antisocial loser, who would definitely be laughed at, HARD, if this was real life. If more of the community would treat toxic behavior as a total joke, it would help to stem it. This is because people who are anti-toxic are viewed as carebears, little sensitive children who cry when someone tells them to uninstall or hang themselves. Instead, if we just laughed at them and showed we weren't bothered, they would just look like the idiots they are and gain no satisfaction from making someone feel bad, since they are a failure at doing so.
