@Meddler/Riot. So, what are your thoughts on Mordekaiser's current state

I personally love the changes you guys made to the Metal Man in patch 6.1 and am having a blast playing him. He does feel a lot like his old self, albeit with more counterplay. His W can now fizzle if the minion dies, his E poke is down and he has less front up burst but if you fight him you're probably going to get crushed.

Anyhow. From a balance standpoint and in terms of game health how do you think these latest set of changes have affected Morde? Looking at his stats on Champion.gg one might think he's still one of the worst champions but I for once think those well versed in the art of Metal manage to make him shine despite his seemingly sad state.

What does the future have in store for our good ol' Murder Emperor? Even more changes set on nudging him into a hybrid build? A Visual Update? Base stat tweaks? Nerfs?!

He really still needs a visual update.

Pizza feet are the worst.

Hell, I think a Shen-sized VU would have been perfect :9

They aren't pizza feet, they are drill feet!

Imagine those things spinning at around 3500 rpm and coming at you! They would go straight through a concrete wall!

His crit animation should just be him kicking people.

Aside from his awful base stats, I feel like he's too easy to build against compared to the other juggernauts, he should either have some kind of inherent magic penetration or mixed damage somewhere in his kit.

He won't be picked at all.His Q is dogshit now against attack speed reduction. While this was not a problem before the rework. His W is nice and all but the minion range is rather bad on it to make it worth.Negatron Cloack and the likes still counter him too hard. His base armor is ridiculously low along with his MR.His base attack speed is abysmal. His ulti has been nerfed for seemingly no reason. His hp costs are still stupid as hell if you dare to spam E to poke or farm.God forbid you use your Q too.

All in all he is in a worse state than pre-rework.Giving him back his old Q in some form would solve his problem.

I still don't like how he is right now... every lane matchup is always against him. From my ~58% winrate with Morde over 80 games last season (pre-rework), to my now ~11% winrate over 8 games this season (rework) with Morde, I still find him a lot worse.

Agreed, it just shows that semi mobile mage Morde is far superior to squishy nuker immobile Morde.

Would like to know too. The changes have been live long enough for Riot to decide what other steps are necessary (if any other change is even needed). For now I'm enjoying him really much.

I can't think of anything particular he might need other than some base stat tweaking.

Making him scale harder with levels might be a great way to make his power curve more consistent as well as giving his duo lane a tad more power.

And making some other items/masteries more desirable, it feels awkward not building Spirit Visage on him if there aren't 3+ Magic Damage dealers.

MS nerf reversion and I'm definitely back to this game with my Emperor! Please, make it happen. Although he still seems in a bad shape at the moment.

But you know what would make me consider to come back aside MS buffs? MAKE HIS THIRD Q DEAL TRUE DAMAGE ON LV4 AND ON! (I know, being exposed to this madness of rework has driven me to insanity)

Otherwise I'll still enjoy the indefinite vacation from the game.

Not to be rude, but what is the point of this thread? Rito gave you what you wanted, and you even say hes fun now. What's the point of a magical red response?

Malicious Metal7 votes

Because he still has some rough edges that need to be polished. And if you go by statistics he's far from being fine, sitting at a 46% win rate.

Riot noted they're probably going to make a few more changes to him and knowing what the future has in store for the Metal man would be reassuring.

Malicious, I just had to face a Brand in lane... he took half my HP with one spell + Deathfire at lvl 1. Do you have any suggestions? He couldn't really do much lategame, but everyone was fed by then.

I tried him after 6.1 and gotta say he is in the right direction however i still think that a big portion of his power budget is invested in the drake. most games i either struggle top lane or be equal with my lane opponent if im playing well, the we take a drake and boom a kill for me and a bunch of assists add to that we take down 1 or 2 enemy turrets, its too much

And where do you play him? What do you build? He seems like a Top laner to me who never gets out of his lane even if has Teleport because he is so sturdy and has no mobility and synergyzes only with teams that have heavy cc.
