I like how Riot has repeatedly made Ranked worse every season for the past few ones, lol.

Like they keep finding some way, any way, to fuck it up.

A couple of seasons ago, they got rid of Elo, and changed it to the LP system. People got so insanely upset, and honestly it's completely understandable. The lack of clarity isn't exactly nice, but when it's all said and done, it's at least an alright system. Except when it first came out. Clamping was stupid. Then they fixed clamping, but not the other issue, where you're not allowed to dodge promo matches. So if you get someone who gets pissed in Champ select, or you hate the enemy team comp, or you're a one trick and they banned your Champion, you can't dodge. Fun right?

Then they took that, and made it worse. Dynamic Queue. But hey, Solo Queue will still be a thing, right? Right? Right. They promised that, then gave the finger the entire season. Don't worry, it totally wasn't abused by high elos purposefully boosting lower elos oh wait several streamers did it for shits and giggles. It finally took them long enough to mostly fix that, but it still wasn't fair to anyone who decided they wanted to run solo going against trios or quads or whatnot to get voice com ganked repeatedly. Oh and if you wanted to play in a group but not voice com you're given the finger because it's even worse than it was before as a duo.

But then they made that worse this season. Flex Queue is atrocious. I'm Platinum, placed in Bronze, and I feel terrible but not even for myself. I think it's funny really on my end, but I feel bad for the people who -are- legitimately Bronze and Silver. My last Ranked game? I went against a Plat trio queue as a Plat solo in Flex. Yeah, I lost, yeah I'm not thrilled about it, but it's only one game I can shake it off. But I feel bad for anyone who's legitimately Bronze/Silver, who has to face that. I know of a Diamond personally who placed lower than I did, in Bronze 2. How is that even fair for any legitimate Bronze player who placed there, to go up against her? They'll get their asses kicked.

And it's not going to just "sort itself out super fast." Because so many games have Plats and Diamonds against each other. I mean i'm sorta fine for myself, sure it's -called- Bronze, but really some games are hilarious facerolls and others are just my standard high-ish elo games, just under a new name. But for people who are legitimately down here because this is their proper ranking? This has to feel terrible.

I didn't even do that bad in placements; I think I went like 4 wins 6 losses or something. Anyone who went a little negative is suddenly down here and that's problematic because it turns out that's a hell of a lot of high rated players.

I don't know how Riot can keep fucking it up and making it worse, and worse, and worse.
