Here in Europe we generally have really good education and learn a lot about the rest of the world. Might be why a lot of Europeans also look down on Americans for being "stupid and ignorant". It's all stereotypes of course, but there's always a grain of truth in them or else they wouldn't exist. I haven't been in an American school so I can't say for myself how it is, but from what I've heard it's not very good.

While most of the world knows about our president, I can't really say whoever is in charge of Sweden. What is Sweden? There's a candy known as Swedish Fish here, is it related to Sweden? Who knows? Also, sorry if I sounded rude when I said I didn't care about Europe. But it's the truth. How would Europeans (or Koreans) know who Uncle Sam is, but not Christmas Eve? I'm pretty sure Christmas is a commercial holiday celebrated in some way in all western(ized) countries.
Abyssphere1 votesYou don't know a lot about individual European countries because there's too many of them to be educated about them all unless you seek the info out. In terms of size this is like asking a european who the governor of Florida is - no idea. Too many states to care about.
The issue with Christmas Eve isn't culture but language. Eve = night before only in English. In French the skin would just read as "Christmas Evelynn" with no pun, which basically removes the skin's reason for existence in that language. If people look it up they'll see the skin exists to fulfil a pun in English, but that won't make it funny for them. It's the same for every other language, so the skin is fun in the UK and various former British colonies, good for non-native English speakers and useless for everyone else outside of being an Evelynn skin with winter particles.
As regards Europeans knowing Uncle Sam, it's a pretty major symbol of the US. It's comparable to Americans knowing any imagery that comes to mind for a major European country - British royalty, French wine and cuisine, Italian sex-mad and corrupt politicians and so on.
(To be honest though Evelynn dressed up for Christmas sounds like a valid skin concept even without the pun so I reckon Riot need to bite the bullet here)

Kitty Cat Katarina is ancient and Riot would probably tell you that they wouldn't release that skin in 2016. You can't criticise a company for improving its practice because "Well you did this dumb thing once, why not again?".

Christmas Eve as a loan word is kind of... eh. I don't think it's as prominent as you say and the individual Riot departments can't put it into the game as English anyway so it still gets lost.
You questioned where Riot's consistency was, I explained that expecting consistency on a topic they've addressed like twice over several years is unwise. The lack of consistency is very easily explained by "Riot decided the Kat skin wasn't great".
You don't need to say "Answer me" after a question - it is generally accepted that questions require answers. Their reasoning is at the very least more logical than theories that Riot "just don't like Evelynn", lol.

GreenLore4 votesI'm merely saying this from a logical standpoint,based on the information we have. The reason why eve didn't get a VGU in the past years is because other champions simply had more priority than her. Riot said pretty early on that they consider Sion and Poppy the biggest failures in terms of champion design,which is why these 2 were the first big VGUs(as even Karma and Trundle retained most of their old kit in some way,wheras Sion and Poppy got almost entirely new ones).
Since then Riot formed 2 VGU teams who both only work on big VGUs,this year we got 
and 
who were both on the VGU list for just as much time as Eve,if not even longer,as well as who got his because they still had lots of leftovers from his gameplay-rework,allowing them to finish him rather fast.
Now we get Warwick and Galio next year,because these 2 are among the most requested reworks(galio was even the no1 request for quite some time)
Last time Reaver mentioned the most requested reworks,he said that(aside from Galio,WW and Yorick) 
and 
are the most requested(a rework for singed is also highly requested,but I kinda doubt that he gets a full VGU,since he already got a model update)
If they manage to give us 4 big VGUs next year,then it is likely that the 2 other spots will go to either of those 3 and whoever doesn't get a rework next year will likely get it in the following year.

Christmas Eve, is simply the day before Christmas, and though we see it as something, other regions may not. (That part you can call me out on, not too sure about that).
