Jungle Routes?

How do you know which jungle route to start? Been playing a lot of jungle lately and it seems to have a huge impact on the game. But I never know what routes are best. Most silvers just start blue every time. But when I watched MSI I see they start raptors so that's what I do. But doing that every game doesn't seem right.

Try to use your jungle pathing to put you in the most important places on the map, when they are important. Or, just fuck it and farm as much as possible then get vision for your teammates during down-time. Or do both. It all depends on how you feel the game will play out.

It depends on the champ you're using, champs the opponents are using and the leash you get.

In shitter elo you get the best leash from bot lane so most take that. A lot of the time top and mid run straight to their tower to AFK and wouldnt even help against an invade so fuck them you wont be getting much from red or raptor start.

In pro matches mid leashes raptors so the jungler can do their buff solo with smite at level 2. They're also always picking AD non mana reliant junglers who can assassinate, gank and duel so it makes sense to be on that side to ensure red isnt stolen then they can take red after raptors then be open to go to any lane - gank mid or top if help is needed, or naturally head to the other buff camp. No point doing raptors to red if you're a caster

There isn't always a set always best route, really depends on both team comps and when to gank, counterjungle or full clear farm but in the lobby and loading screen you should already know your route

Low level games invading has huge payoffs to set the enemy jungler behind by killing them or taking their camps and their laners rarely ever come to help. Most of the time it forces them to play more passively too since theyre scared to move out after getting ganked in their own jungle

Okay so assuming you don't start on the enemy's Jungle, you have 4 options: Red Blue Wolves Raptors

Not many people start wolves of at all, so this really just leaves Red, Blue, and Raptors.

Raptors are actually surprisingly easy to clear level 1 should you and your Mid Laner have level 1 aoe. Rengar's Q for example is fantastic at this camp and Raptors is actually one of the more common starts for him in high level play.

Blue is an absolute necessity for some Junglers, so it's obvious when they must start there.

I've noticed that, especially for Ganking Junglers, taking red is a signal that you're ready to gank. Most people won't start red unless they're planning to go for an early gank, just planning to farm, or go for cheese.
