Exhaust on adc's

#Grievous Wounds

V5.22:

  • Now only affects self-healing from healing from all sources.
  • Healing reduction reduced to 40% from 50%.

Ever since this change I take summoner 3 on adc's now. But here's the problem:

The support exhaust meta exist for a long time now. It's so extreem that people start to assume you are going support when taking exhaust. Support litterly don't known anything else anymore. That summoning spell is litterly crafted into their brain. I have played so many matches recently with support that just don't want to switch to another summoning spell. Forcing me to switch or playing a game out with dubble exhaust. In best case scenario they take summoner 14.

When I tell them it's because GW has changed they tell me this:

summoner 3 is better on support because it gives them more cc.

The second thing they ask is this:

What's GW?

I'm pretty sure things will get better ones people understand the logic behind the changes and those we don't understand it will probaly just copy it from the pro's but right now it's just dam anyoing.

For the logic behind taking summoner 3 on adc's now is pretty simple:

  • Adc's got buffed
  • GW no longer effect outside heals.
  • Supports get less rewarded for roaming now
  • Peeling for adc's is more rewarded now

This doesn't mean that summoner 7 isn't viable on adc's anymore. The movementspeed is still really good. summoner 7 just became better on supports now.

I play support often and honestly I hate when the ADC tries to get me to switch summoner spells. I'll explain why. Unless I'm familiar with you as an ADC I don't know that you're even good. And I understand my job is to support you but my job is also to support the rest of the team when team fights begin. Depending on the support I think exhaust, heal or even ignite in the case of offensive supports are all viable. Unless you're in a 5s team set up I don't think you have any business questioning your teammates Summoners choices. It's a game that some people only play recreationally and if you have that much a problem with people playing it the way that they want to you should just start your own 5s team so that you dictate over them. But as I said before, all three are viable in my opinion, it seems you've tunnel visioned that one particular change.

i agree with OP but agree with this too.

chances are selfish and unskilled ADCs won't be exhausting the zed whom just ulted your ziggs. they'll save it to exhaust the sejuani who is on top of them

Whatever works for you buddy. I sometimes find cleanse to work well with an adc. Espically if.the enemy lane is exhause.and ignite. Lol

cleanse oh sorry you wanted that almost secured.kill? Too bad.

Apparently the meta of ad carry takes ignite and support takes heal is so old that no one remembers it. The way heal is now was to stop that meta.

I was surprised when I saw literally no one trying heal on the support again once I saw the grievous wounds change just because of how STRONG heal on support meta was forever in the game (and then we had the lovely double heal). Aside from when CV was popular, I can't really remember a different summoner supports took for the longest time.

The MS even applies to both people. I'm sure it's just because we've now been taught not to trust our allies to heal us or it's just better to have the ad carry have heal on hand at all times over the support, but is still kind of weird I think.

Currently it's perfectly fine to take summoner 7 on adc's because to limit amount of GW in games right now combined with the poor itematisation for assasins.

I guess we have to wait till lcs before kids start to realise it.

I dunno, I prefer exhaust as adc anyway, I find I hjave a leg up with exhaust compared to heal when it comes to 1v1s, but what do I Know
