Shaco ultimate shouldn't be random.

I noticed often when diving that I sometimes appear closer than my clone and vice versa. With the practise tool out I thought it'd be nice to see if there is a more indepth way of manipulating placements.

Long story short, it is random. Shaco has no impact on where he or his clone will land, which is complete bullshit.

Both he and his clone will spawn in a random location, facing a random direction. Both will walk to the cursor though.

I think a champion who revolves around deceit and confusion should have a bit more control over where he spawns with his ult.

You want the enemy to hit the clone, but they usually hit the closest target. You have no control over whether you or your clone spawns closer.

I think when a player has to rely on RNG to calculate the odds of a fight is a little bit stupid.

shaco has so much deceit and confusion that he tricks his own player LUL

Pretty much.

I would like to be able to choose whether I cop a tower hit or my clone takes it. That should not be left to RNG.

isn't Shaco clone considered a pet, and automatically tanks if there is no minions and you are initially taking tower aggro then use your ult to drop aggro, it doesnt reset to your 'pet'?

Not if you land inside the range and your clone lands out.

EDIT: Just tested, won't switch to clone in any case.

Walk into range > Ult > Tower hits you regardless of clone position.

odd, hm seems like a change they should implement, I know if you have a minion wave and you ult it drops aggro but i guess all you can hope for if you are diving is to cancel 1 tower shot

You would drop more than that, your clone would pick up the following 2-3 shots.

Currently Shaco drops agro, but then immediately picks it back up.

I wonder if that would be because Shaco himself becomes targetable first or something, by like a tiny tiny amount.

That'd be my guess, he becomes active before his clone.

Several times I've ulted so that I could use clone to body block and perma-slow two or more enemies as I get away... only, after ult'ing I ended up closer to the enemy than if I had just stopped running altogether. (I was between my clone and the enemy, and yes, they targeted the closest Shaco.)

It was actually changed to be random at some point. Previously, your clone always spawned to the same side of you, making it easy for the enemy to determine which was the clone.

And I agree that would be more detrimental than randomly spawning, but I suggest player should choose where to spawn by cursor location, and the clone spawns randomly around you.

Shaco ult should give him the edge, not "well its anyone's game now, just hope my clone lands closest".

I can't think of any other mechanic that relies on a random event.
