Control wards

In what elo should it be understood by all players that buying wards is a necessary thing. Would like to hear the communities answers.

At the tier it becomes necessary, tbh.

In lower tier it's really not doing that much, because people don't know how to utilize the vision correctly. Most of the time they'll just use a control ward in their tribrush so they don't have periods where they're blind. (Assuming they get them at all).

Depending on how low-tier you get and how good the enemy is at clearing the wards, it can end up as just throwing away gold. It just stops being worthwhile to get a control ward if they don't have an Evelynn.

Couldn't agree more. Ironically I've noticed that in games played, the teams with higher vision scores all around standardly win the game (i'm low plat supp main). Maybe 80-90% of those games. You'd think tracking enemy junglers and objective control would be crucial based on comp makeups would be pertaining but they don't want to spend the gold "pending it's not a full item completion". Would love to see how riot pairs in MMR based on vision. I can't find this anywhere along with the games I spectate.

By the stats we get in the client, you can see that vision score tends to climb as rank increases.

I regularly out-ward the best in the region, however, and almost always have the highest vision score on my team (usually only ever beaten by the supports, because they get their sightstone). But my skill probably just puts me roughly in gold (Or maybe high silver now).

Vision is great, and having great vision definitely helps you win games, but even with perfect warding it doesn't mean much if you (or your team) can't use it well.
